Ive watched your videos on using Lexol for vachetta leather and it’s great to see you’ve posted videos for items/products that you think don’t work as well. Very informative, thank you =) Have you ever tried Saphir Nappa balm? I heard they’re very good and gentle even for vachetta leathers.
I have not heard or used that product yet but I wouldn't suggest it by just looking at the ingredients. I believe this is a balm, so it will deeply condition the leather after you clean it. It's also made of MINK OIL and this will darken vachetta leather drastically so it's not a compromise I'm willing to make. Thanks again for the suggestion.
I have had very good success with using apple care brand cleaner and conditioner. I always condition the entire piece first. Then go in with cleaner, not spot cleaning but over entire leather portion, i find spot cleaning often damages the item. I then go back over with more conditioner. Then let dry for 12-24hr before repeating as necessary. This is my tried and true method. The only time I have damaged something with this method is when i used a microfiber towel and rubbed really hard on one of the handle chaps in an effort to spot clean.
That's awesome! I've been wanting to test out that product too, but there's not alot of info on ingredients or instructions, so I've always hesitated. But thanks for sharing your tips I'll have to try it out on another bag one day!
