I sometimes do two runs of hi pass... I had a project that had a load of DC ( naughty me) but then went through and cut everything as you do in the video, the difference was night and day, so much clearer. Great vid. Happy new year btw!
Thanks! Happy New Year! Interesting. Is two runs of high pass different? (i.e. is there a difference between two 24dB/octave vs. on 48dB/octave)? Or do you just mean you run it twice steeply? I'm finding I have to deal with subaudio more and more as I continue to mess around with outboard/analog devices.
With a gentle slope I tend to find it still sometimes leaves some subsonic crud, two runs seems to clear that without the phase’s issue of a 48 dB. Now I am saying it out loud I am not sure if it’s science or just ocd!
Ha! Yes, sounds good. I've actually been doing quite a bit of Kyma recently for a new piece. Maybe I'll just hit record on a session sometime soon. (That said, getting subaudio out of your samples before bringing them into Kyma can be a BIG help!😃)
