and may I ask 2 question, is this 5500 SRILL working at your house, or already damage? because somebody told me it actually has very short lifespan? second question is that can I actually use other speakers instead of using this 5 speakers? I means can I actually use other brands speakers like some branded 5.1 speakers hook up to this subwoofer?
You can use other speakers, just make sure that they are 8ohms or higher, and no lower than 60w/speaker. You can go higher on the watts, but not lower or you may blow them. For example you could use a 150w Mission centre speaker..that's fine provided it's 8ohm or higher, any lower and you could damage the amp.
I've had my Z5500 setup for around 15 years and it still sounds and looks as good as it did the day I got it. It still whoops most of today's dedicated PC speaker setups.
There is a fuse that can blow quite easily on the back of the sub (not inside the wall plug). Usually when someones z5500 stops working the fuse is the cause. Simply remove it and source a new one on ebay or go to an electronics store. You could also do a temp fix by wrapping the broken fuse in tin foil and replacing until you get the new fuse.
@@NerdyBassHead what has it being a year ago got to do with anything? People will still watch this, and then read your statement saying the grill CAN'T be put back on. But the grill CAN be put back on very easily and you'd never know it had been taken off. I own the Z5500 setup, I should know.
Bartakiux Nice, must be a sweet setup. I'm going be doing regular giveaways for my subscribers who like and comment on my videos. its not the z-5500 i was referring too :). there's gonna be games, other PC tech etc. :) Thanks for your feedback it's much appreciated
