This was the removal of the second bridge. Due to overhead lines a special lifting machine was brought in to lift out the final section More Videos from this job. • Garston rail bridge Re...
I like how cool the operator is taking this lift just nipping at his finger nails. The skill, the touch, the years, and it all comes down to such a smooth operation. The biggest thing l've operated is 29 ton hydraulic in the 1980s and having the responsibility of people an angle of load made me more aware of my surroundings. I miss those days!
I find it weird they didn’t build any support for that corrugated pipe. That much cable hanging in its own weight can’t be good. Thx for the filming. They surely worked in confined spaces!!
The old steel sections look good by comparison to Canadian bridges of the same age. The rust from salting during the winter just wreaks havoc on paint, fasteners and seams.
i dont mean to be so off topic but does someone know a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost my password. I love any assistance you can offer me.
@Kaiden Ahmad Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
If the sign wasn't enough to confirm it, the use of the chain hoist(s) definitely was confirmation this video was not recorded in america, lol. If it was Osha would have a conniption fit for even thinking of it, lol.
I'm sure each person had a specific role. There's not much they can do when the crane is slowly lifting the bridge sections. Did you expect them to push or something?!
I wonder why they lifted the center beam out with the jacks, when the side closest to the overhead lines had already been removed using the crane? There must be a reason other than the proximity of the power lines?
@@veryhighguy ahh, it's not easy to tell from the video, they lift one from the near side, then from the far side over the top with the middle bit left underneath the lines. Serves me right for watching late at night when I can't sleep 😕
