I've had 2 removed & never any pain with the removal, thx the Lord. However, I had 1 removed too soon & then had to have an outpatient procedure & I got a bag instead of the bulb. The bag sucks btw, so stay w/ the bulb until the output is minimal.

I am 1.week post op from a gallbladder removal surgery. Everyone except the surgeon said I will only feel weird pressure. This is a lie. You should take pain medication before it is removed, if possible. When the drain is being removed, it is painful, but it is most painful when it is almost all the way out. Pls tell people the truth so they can be prepared.

I have breast drains and they hurt at the insertion sites so I was thinking of taking Tylenol before they’re removed this afternoon. If they hurt in place, my guess is they will hurt coming out as well. That said, I can’t wait for them to be out.

Maybe the suction wasn’t fully gone when it was removed. It would hurt like a bitch if the suction was not removed prior to removal

I had an abdominal one removed today and agree 1000% with this, worst pain ever and now I wonder if it is because they did not release the suction. They just kept telling me to breathe as if that did anything😫

@@timetorelax6680I had a drain in my abdomen after an emergency appendectomy and the surgeon yanked it out without warning me what it was gonna be like. I made a pretty loud noise. 💀
