My contact at UniWigs just let me know that scar tape (scalp-looking part line silicone tape) is not usually included with the topper but can be purchased separately.
I really like you in longer hair, but you look just as good in shorter too. The color is perfect, the topper blends in perfectly. It amazes me to know these are not your hair! As women, this should boost our confidence in how we look and how we can change or tweek what we don't like. Thank you for shining a light on this subject. Whether it's for fun or necessity, we all need to know as much as we can about what's available and how to use it. 💕💕💕
I think it looks best the length of the topper. I have worn toppers where it’s longer than my hair, so I clipped up just the sides under it & then you couldn’t tell. I did this until my hair grew out. You look good with it shorter also, but I’m more of a fan of mid length hair even for myself. The topper looks good & very real. I’m going to check it out.
I want to start wearing wigs. I have been watching your videos trying to figure out how to begin. I love this topper the color and length id really like to try it that one although I have have never worn a wig. My hair will not grow or it’s just breaking off terribly bad. I miss having hair to play with this topper looks perfect for me. Saving video for me because I’d like to try the 130 thank you for the videos.
Great review! So helpful! I am new to these toppers. Do you use tape in the front? And if not, any issues with movement, wind, etc making it move around?
Hi Casey, I'm so glad you enjoyed the review. This topper is beautiful, and the price is great. I didn't tape it down, and it looked very pretty. I found I didn't feel as secure in long toppers. My short one didn't feel like the wind would show anything, but I can't say that about the long ones for me. My journey has progressed. I don't have enough hair for a topper. The topper looks great on you and the color is pretty. Can I share my critique? Well I’m going to. 😂. I think it’s a little too flat on top. I was always trying to get lift from my own hair using product, but mostly unsuccessful. So I found myself focusing on it.
Hi! I’m Heather and I just received my topper from Uniwigs and I’m a little confused as to how to clip it on? I got a beautiful topper already cut and styled for me.. but it has that little lace thing in the front.. do I cut that out? Also.. how do I clip these on? Do I push them up and then clip? Should the clip be open or closed? Thank you❤
Hi Heather! Yes, trim the lace. Be careful not to cut the hair at the hairline. I do not trim the lace in a straight line (some people use pinking shears, I just make little curves with my scissors...I use my small, sharp crochet scissors. When you put the topper on, the clips should be open. Then when you press the clip against your head and close it, it will grab some of your bio hair. Be careful not to have it pulling on your bio hair too much. It sounds more complicated than it is. I’m hoping when I take my topper out, I will be able to have as much confidence and trust as you have! I notice you said it’s best to get a topper closest to your hair color and mine is actually closer to my natural color with chunks of blonde! It’s so gorgeous!! My hubby was like “Omg!! U look 10 years younger and I have to part my hair underneath in the middle and line it up…, cause although I have hair… it’s sooooo thin compared to the topper. The style of my topper is beautiful.. little longer in the front and then shorter in the back. I like to put one side behind my ear, but theres so much hair it’s totally different than my real hair. It’s a synthetic, mono wig in “almond frost” “river mono 8.5 X 9” synthetic Bob style. “ anyways, so I just want to say is it ok that my real hair is blond abs the topper is a like brown with blonde chunky highlights.. is that ok? @@midlifebeauty_withheather Absolutely! It sounds beautiful! Anything that makes you feel great, you should wear! My advice is general...newbies often feel uncomfortable in something different from their hair, so I usually say to start out with something that mimics your bio hair. Hi Charlene, Color is the toughest part about choosing a wig in my opinion. If you don't mind not matching your current hair exactly, you can just choose a gray wig that you like the look of. If you are trying to match, I think the best thing to do would be to go to a wig salon in person. That way you can figure out which colors in which manufacturers look best on you. Then from there, you can order online.💕
I'm really skeptical of the wig being burned by the iron. I saw the damage on that blonde wig and it seemed evident that was synthetic hair. Uniwigs has a reputation for mixing synthetic in with human hair yet marketing it as 100% human
I got a 16 inch topper it’s synthetic hair IT IS MY FAVORITE I’ve had it a little over 3 years . What helped a lot is silk spray and restore and revive and obviously jr detangler also about a year and a half ago I discovered the hot tools plastic hot air brush, which is made to use on synthetic hair and that really fixed it back almost 2 how it looked when I first got it but over the years unfortunately I had cut a few inches off here and there then I wound up cutting my hair to about 14 inches so I cut my topper all the way to 14 inches I wish I could show a picture of how good it still looks considering I’ve worn it almost every single day and even slept in it let me rephrase that I fell asleep or basically took a nap a careful nap lol but it is beautiful. it’s the chocolate caramel color which is 16R so it has like a mix of brown auburn and blonde with a brown to dark brown root. I have always wanted Claire or Courtney but the price is so much compared to the hope topper. I mean it’s still a little pricey, just because times have gotten a lot rough and tougher but that should be one. @FranniesSquare I don’t know how you get to do the reviews like if you contact them or not, @uniwigs and let her do a review of the hope topper I know I just wish they would come out with more colors. I think you can request colors, but they charge you extra? I am not 100% positive but that’s the way I understood it but anyway once again good review.🎉❤
