The original artist for Back on 74 is a contemporary artist named Jungle and the official video is brilliant, a one take dance video. His version honors, musically that song, and near the end of his rap he says "massive like Jungle". Clearly a nod to the original artist.

I don't want THE FAME MONSTER to destroy his soul and heart and love and passion for music and life as it has for SO MANY BEAUTIFUL music artists that are no longer with us. I hope for him to remain humble and true to his craft as he has been for a decade or more.

This was another brilliant ReNtake. Just Ren doing Ren things. Crazy runs and harmonies, filthy bars to remind us that he is also still a cheeky boi, and that voice that’s perfect for Sting/The Police songs. Ren has music in his soul and pours so much soul into everything he does. Also I am noticing that even though a lot of people discovered Ren through the hip hop tracks off Sick Boi or got recommended checking him out if into hip hop, everyone seems to agree that his singing is just something extra special. Even when it’s rappers/rap lovers who love breaking down his clever bars. When our boi starts singing, he’ll make a RENegade out of (almost) anyone and everyone 🐰🕳️ I can’t wait for the next album and hearing him sing on some new original tracks. These retakes are a perfect way to keep us happy and moist down the rabbit hole while we wait though 😏

Ren making it his own, adding some rap and mixing in some cheeky bars and some deep ones. To me its like seeing how his mind works. One minute he is cheeky and having fun the next he is reminded of the serious side of life and the questions that many of us struggle with. Just noticed this time through - I think the rap part includes a quadruple - "Words are secondary, first my specialty, naughty bars..." - Thats 2,1,0 count down, But the bit that gets me is the naughty....naught as in zero, naughty as in dirty, then he holds his hand in a position commonly used to indicate m*sturb*tion (naughty), AND its also the symbol often used in "the game" where if you get people to look at it, they loose...and hes looking at us through his finger and thumb as if to say, "gotcha"....There are LAYERS to that rap breakdown....Thats just one part thats stacked with multiple things all happening at the same time bith lyrically and visually.
