I did find out by Ren's twitch stream that if we followed his UK link (on his page) then the digital download will go to the UK chart numbers. Very happy about that. I'm annoyed about the miss communication because other americans didn't buy anymore because they assume it is not helping...grrr. But it(digital download) needs to be activated to count. I love Ren and I want him to crush all the naysayers that don't even put him in the same group as other current rap artists, (not even up with the independent ones). Not only should he be included but top spot. His (sick boi) album is fire. 🔥🔥🔥
PS, I thought that Rick guy was a one hit wonder. I remember that (song!) in the 80's and then never heard anything again. I had no idea he was still making music...I guess I got rolled by Rick on that one. Even Andrew Lloyd Webber hopes Ren gets a number 1 album.
Yeah that is great news. We find out any minute now its he has the number one. I cant wait. I think Rick hasn't done anything for years. This is like a retro comeback.
@@EvaCzarnojanczyk yeah, I bought one double digital in pounds and then another one in dollars, just in case, LoL. Totally rocked out in Bandcamp, bought his Love Music 'album' compilation, too.
Sick Boi debuted at 137 in the US Billboard 200 chart. In all honesty that is very impressive for an independent artist, especially without a tour to promote it. I think it will continue to push its way up the chart.
Hi my sweet M8! So glad you brought this to the masses. I am digging this song!!! 💃🕺 I am so hoping Ren gets #1. I too have ordered multiple SickBoi albums & twice ordered newest digital track downloads. I wish he'd create a way to allow people to donate a purchase to some random person.... 🤔
This is one of my chair dance meditations! if you focus your mind on his beautiful poetry, I consider him a #1 poet. He ranks up there with Pac & other golden lyricists!!
Absolutely love this track - downloaded the album on my phone and my laptop, ordered 3 CDs and a vinyl now lol - but this track is awesome and it sounds like mandarin to me.
The sample is actually Japanese. It’s apparently the ending credits to the Anime series Samurai Champloo. I am not an anime person, so I would t have caught that reference, but I have read a few places about it.
The beautiful and evocative samples remind me of those taken from the Pinpeat Orchestra of the Royal Ballet of Cambodia in Pat Metheny's 1992 track Above the Treetops (Secret Story). I saw that live before listening to the album and it was so innovative and it opened up so many possibilities
@@M8OFMINE Oh my fxxking god he did it!!. I've been nervous all day. Fantastic news. And I'm totally jealous of your highly expensive vinyl but I bet it seems worth it now, huh?!!
@@wexfordgirl1 No don't be silly I'm not easy offended lol and I'm super honest. I paid £1200 for the 4 of them, mint and un-played. Top end condition. Ive already had offers for them lol
