So make a sick disstrack and at the end reveal it is just a playful battle and show your respect by adding some nice words and show your willingness to accept the olive branch. I subbed Dotta because Ren put out a call to his fans to do so. Here's the deal ... it's now up to Dotta to keep my sub. I'm really not a fan, not of his music or his behavior. So he's going to have to work and do it pretty quickly. And some of it will depend on how he deals with the rest of his Knox beef. He already said Ren's diss was dope (it's on his community page.) Red Top got him on his live stream and he admitted that it was over with Ren, but it was still on with Knox. Fine, if they want to continue to play, but (admittedly this is not normally up my alley, but I listen when people talk about the battle rap culture, history, expectations, etc.) I hope that Dotta stops the hateful comments towards reactors and commenters who don't think he's winning. 🤷🏻♀️
You got me convinced here. I followed Rens advise and listened to the diss track and it did not really convince me to subscribe, so I listened to some other videos of his and that didn't convince me to subscribe. Not saying he does not have talent, but his music didn't connect (as Ren put it in Hi Ren). So, just subscribed to give him another chance to connect. I like your take of giving him the chance of keeping the sub.

I agree with you and @coreymustard2524 here about the very different (healthy, positive, mature) way that Ren put the ball in Dotta's court. At the same time, I think he really does believe Dotta is sick, or he wouldn't have bothered to respond at all. I went to Dotta's site and commented on one of his non-diss tracks that I actually liked, saying I was a Renegade paying my respects, and Dotta gave a nice reply--not the "boogeyman" I expected. I think the fact that Ren could overlook and forgive the ugly things Dotta said outside of his anti-Ren diss track speaks volumes about Ren. Your reaction was one of my favorites for Ren's diss, and I'm glad you stayed up to film it! 🤠
What you said about the line re being a slave to the ego was so eloquently explained. And so true. Ren has indeed flipped the switch, changed the game. Can Dotta get it and come back with kindness? This is the new game. Lift up others as you rise, don't try to get ahead by beating others down. Dotta is told.
Like Eminem said "one shot" Ren expended two stanzas on proving he can battle rap, but really, it's not his favourite thing. Just because a man can do something doesn't mean he likes it.
When Ren agreed to battle Dotta he put in a ground rule that it be a "one take". Dotta agreed to those terms. Dotta starts his diss to Ren with saying "one take" to make us think it actually was a one take. But, you will see in Knox's 2nd dotta diss that dotta was lying about the one take. Dotta put his phone down in the booth to make it look like a one take. But, he had a teleprompter with the lyrics on it.... lol
For the viagra jab, I don’t think it was Ren implying Dotta’s diss was trash, but that he took it easy on Ren … “you went too soft on me brother.” Which is funny, because Dotta’s response to Ren apologizing before a couple of the jabs was nah, go for it 😹 Dotta enjoyed the track and was laughing, especially at the cake jab - since he actually had red velvet cake for breakfast that morning 😜 After the battle Dotta has given Ren a lot of props and respect. Ren is a game changer. He not only flipped the script on Dotta, but on the entire culture. The #RENeffect is real ❤
Dotta said in a phone interview that he won't come back at Ren but there is one more coming for knox . He laughed about the cake stuff because he had cake for breakfast. Dotta was hateful in regards to rens success... And then said Rens work is trash because he is white...? And then he tried to sugar coat it like a little kid... Ren's message was to do better. No hate to Dotta as an individual-I'm sure in some nasty groups it is acceptable and celebrated..-but honestly how do we support racism with a clear conscience? I guess that was the point of the end. To try to ignore the hate given for no reason and just do better?

People who aren’t Ren subs might not know this isn’t the first time Ren has done this. Dirt Miller and Wolf Johnson, for example got 1,000s of new subs in less than 48 hours (both are really good IMO) after Ren recommended that we check them out. If that doesn’t happen for Dotta, Ren fans just really don’t like his music (or the style) and/or his tactics. And it’s not easy to turn down Ren.
