Also, would like to say that since listening to Rend music, I have worked harder in therapy to understand myself and learn my weaknesses and face them. And I have learned what acceptance actually feels like. You can say that you can except some thing, but whether you really do except it or not, nobody else knows but you and sometimes even you don’t know until you hit a point in your life where the last straw has been broken.❤❤ I also learned that you can’t be afraid to feel your feelings that they are there for a reason so the point isn’t not to be sad and just be happy to be able to coherently work through each emotion and understand why you’re feeling that way and if it’s necessary to feel that way.❤

I prefer this track to the tale of Jenny and Screech to be honest, you probably have but check Money Game part 3 that just dropped, I think he just eclipsed everything he already did with it. its that good. Jenny and Screech is masterful story telling, but Hi Ren is deeper its beyond mental health its even deeper than that its about good and evil and how that is a part of our humanity. I feel like Money Game part 3 combines the story telling of Jenny & Screech and teh depth and humanity of Hi Ren and takes it to a new level
I am a 50+ year old man. I have probably seen this song at least a hundred times (mostly in reactions) and it still makes me cry about half of the time, including this time. Awww I'm super sensitive to energies and have strong emotional reactions to things too. I cried when I first heard it too and still find myself tearing up at times during certain parts (the hope part and when he switches to singing I've found to be the most powerful) even though I have heard this song more times than I can count at this point. Ren's great at drawing emotions out of people. I found myself crying a lot when I went through his music and more than once found myself saying, "Damn you, Ren! Stop making me cry." When I thought about it though it felt good to cry and it felt healing. Throughout my life I've felt like my super sensitivity meant I was weak and I had to toughen up to fit in so I grew to hate it when people saw me cry and am finally now embracing my sensitivity and learning how to use it in ways that benefit me and those around me. I find it very brave of you to put yourself out there like that. It really does help & inspire people like me. ✌️&❤️

@@independentinstallations8419 Finding Ren and his music has made me question if there is such a thing as fate because I found him at a crucial time in my life and the strength of my reaction to Hi Ren has given me a whole new outlook on things. I am bed bound at this time in my life so I have been using that time I have that others might not have to learn about myself and apply that knowledge to understand other people and what makes them tick. I relate so much to Ren in so many ways and am so thankful I found him and his music as it's inspiring me more every day to find healthier ways of expressing my emotions and connecting to others and I've learned a lot. The world does need him and others like him right now as it seems more and more people are digging their heals in and seeing people they might not agree with as their enemy instead of taking time to see where the other side is coming from and relating to them in some way. People need to see their opponents as humans they can relate to because the one thing we all have in common is our instinct to survive and can relate to how it feels when you perceive that to be threatened in any way and it branches out to our loved ones who would be the ones carrying our memories when we die especially children who literally carry parts of you. There is true beauty in seeing someone react to a piece of music, and watching their emotions fill up in whatever direction. To see your jaw tense up and the muscle at the back flex is so powerful. Songs time will fly and lose it all, and I promise you will go through about 50 tissues😂❤ but the message is so insanely beautiful and haunting all at the same time and his voice I just can’t even explain… Sam is also Ren’s best friend and they performed on the streets together busking that’s how they met. Yes, Ren was misdiagnosed with Bipolar Disorder (and possibly Chronic Fatigue syndrome) and for years was put on antipsychotic medication and underwent mental therapy. He was finally correctly diagnosed as suffering from Lymes disease (which had gone untreated for all those years). He is now receiving treatment but it's likely that having Lymes disease for so long without treatment caused some irreparable damage, including autoimmunity.
Your words at the end "WoW" just about sums it all up perfectly. That was my initial reaction while bathing in tears as well. The realness of this masterpiece hits hard... No matter what walks of life we may come from, what status we may hold in society, or the severity of our struggles and inner demons, no matter all of that this is relatable to each and every single person on the planet. And to portray it so accurately visually, sonically and verbally like Ren did, is something really extraordinary. As Ren himself says in the piece, it has been done before, but not to this level and accuracy. Everything about this masterpiece is so spot on. It not only tells his story, it also have the divine and demonic elements as a vehicle to convey his struggle and to show us all that this struggle is not unique, but is core to our human existence. The duality of the dark and the light and the battlefield where the fight occur, our psychological domain, is what we are as human beings and balancing this is what life is about.

I was first introduced to Ren with this song back in February. I had never seen or felt anything like it ever. I immediately was crying just like you and then proceeded to watch it over and over and cried so many times with watching others react to it. In a way I fell in love and have been on REN’s journey ever since. It has changed music for me and how I look at and treat others. Here is some additional information on Ren's story that I gathered from old newspaper interviews, articles, and Ren's public livestreams and posts. A handful of people frequently post an earlier version of my comment to various reactions that they copied and pasted verbatim, so if this is a repeat just ignore this comment. I keep editing the information, as needed, and have removed details about Ren that some found to be too personal, such as his full name and D.O.B. All the information here was gathered exclusively from sources Ren personally approved for public release. Ren is a Welsh musician/independent artist/producer, self-taught multi-instrumentalist. He pursued a career in music from an early age. In 2009, while studying music performance at Bath Spa University, Ren began to experience health issues and was struggling to attend his lectures, which eventually caused him to discontinue his studies and return home. In addition, Ren was signed by Sony Records in 2010 and was working on an album when his health deteriorated to the point that he was unable to go on; consequently, his contract with Sony was dissolved. Ren would later relocate to Brighton. Ren's illness often kept him in bed for up to 23 hours daily. Ren was initially misdiagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder, and chronic fatigue syndrome, which led him to experience psychosis and develop PTSD. It would take seven years before a doctor in Belgium finally correctly diagnosed Ren with autoimmunity, Lyme disease, and resulting damage to the brain, organs, joints, and PTSD. Ren eventually underwent stem cell therapy in the United States, which improved his health, but it has not been a cure. Ren is in Calgary, Canada undergoing treatments such as IV therapy and other interventions five days a week, as well as surgeries (wisdom tooth removal and cavitation surgery). His Canadian doctor discovered that Ren also developed a condition called Mast Cell Activation Disorder (MCAD), which has affected the myelin sheath in his brain, his thyroid, and adrenals as well as his bones/joints. Hence, Ren is receiving additional treatments for this previously undiagnosed condition. He recently took a break from treatments and returned to the UK to visit family and friends, and to produce some very ambitious musical projects to be released soon. This is the kind of artistry that gives "broken" people hope. Ren, through this performance piece, has become to a lot of people exactly what he stated in the song, "...the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope". So powerful, so impactful. The song structure itself is incredible. It starts off as a battle between his positive (Angel) and negative (Demon) aspects, the negative then makes an overpowering last ditch effort to reign supreme, tearing free and trying to take control, but ultimately fails as the final act, being the "God" aspect, emerges Triumphant, though still acknowledging and accepting that it will ALWAYS be a battle because we are all "a coin with 2 different sides". It's a beautifully cathartic and raw musical masterpiece. Ren is truly special. Welcome to the Ren rabbit-hole, it's a trip worth taking. This was the 4th take he did and yes, it was done live. Wait until you hear some of his other stuff, especially his storytelling ("The Tale of Jenny & Screech"). You haven't even touched the breadth of this young man's talent yet. The pig character (imo) represents the doctors and therapist who have essentially butchered him for years through their misdiagnosis. It's the system that focuses on peddling more pills than on genuinely trying to help to fix broken/ill people, caring more about profit than individual health. The bastardization of the hippocratic oath. He literally thought he was going insane because he was told repeatedly that the pain and symptoms he was experiencing were all in his head (psychosomatic). He had reached a point where he literally resigned himself to dying before he reached 30. Turns out he had Lyme's disease the whole time and it ran rampant through his system for 10 years, even to the point of causing brain damage. Ironically, if Ren hadn't gone through what he has, would he have ever made the art he has? There's no question that his suffering has shaped his music and now he's finally getting the recognition he undoubtedly deserves. I've said it before, I'll say it again, Ren is special.

At a rather young age Ren had just been signed to Sony Records and Ren was trying to record his 1st album but he kept feeling very ill and could not perform but the Doctors couldn't find anything. Eventually his contract with Sony Expired and they did not renew it. For years the Doctors kept telling Ren all his issues were in his head and they treated him as having mental issues. Despite that every time I see this I am in tears at the noose line. I can't stop. I have heard the voice, and literally took off the noose. I know every word of the end, I can repeat word for word, but when Ren puts his energy in with it, I make it to "rise in the east and settle on the ocean floor" before I start breaking up.
