I'm a musician and have always appreciated any talented artists of all genres. For more than a decade I've pretty much only listened to The Beatles and the same progressive metal. Seeing Hi Ren in January changed me in many ways. I feel like I'm a different person after that. Ren is definitely on my top ten all time favorite artists. As far as versatility, probably number one. Dude can literally do anything he wants in exceptional fashion. Can't wait to hear/see what comes next.

@mikemedrano8579 I could see Ren and Sam or Big Push doing some amazing Beatles covers. While my guitar gently weeps Imagine Strawberry fields Dear Prudence And your Bird Can Sing I could go on...adept comparison to versatility for the non hip hop aspect of his music!
And all of a sudden I feel sixteen again, hanging out with my friends at the skatepark, drinking beers and having no worries in the world 🤩🤩🤩 What a brilliant hommage to the Beastie Boys 🖤
Guy in purple is his pal Vik, a rapper in his own right. Guy in green I don't know - h disappears in some shots, and seems to be replaced by another Green Guy in others. All vocals on this track are Ren, his friends are being Beasties for the video. Ren's independent, no label, and said recently he has lately turned some labels down -- trust, they've been calling since he's blown up all over the internet. He produces his own stuff, including the beats. Has a couple of friends who are videographers and directs his own videos, in the past with almost no money. He's in somewhat better shape financially now as his fan base explodes, and h e's shooting vids in Canada while getting medical treatment there.
I think he said on his YT interview with Black Pegasus that he & Sam have a deal with Netflix, (or it's in the works?). I'd seen from previous clips/interviews that he wants to do a Black Mirror dystopian type of series, with Ren directing and Sam filming it'd have to be very creative and unique.
@@j3611he wants a deal and has written a few episodes of his idea, but he’s working to get money to make a pilot, once he has a pilot he can go slap it in Netflix faces and get that contract. Right now it’s only dreams. But getting realised daily
I know the guy in the purple is Viktus. He is the one that wears the pig head mask and has been in other Ren videos and is on Ren’s “Down on the Beat ft. Viktus”. He also raps himself. Check out N.W.O. and Sensei
Guys, you’ve got to try his older, more conscious stuff like life is funny, money game 2 and hold on. He’s got a couple of great colabs with Eden Nash called humble and ocean but they are quick so you could do them back to back in one reaction
Great reaction again Ren is one best artists around at the moment Has for Collabs there are a few I'm probably going to miss a couple 1) Chalk Outlines ft Chinchilla 2) How To Be Me ft Chinchilla 3) Humble ft Eden Nash 4) Oceans ft Eden Nash 5) Crutch ft BiBi Them there is all his busking videos which feature Sam Tompkins and Chinchilla There's definitely more and I'm sure other people will add to the list of collabs
Wanna know his boys? Well, they a girl called CHINCHILLA and you didn't know this, but you need her in your life! 🖤 Love your reactions, and you've gotten yourself a new subscriber, a somewhat aggressive and opinionated Swedish mom with violent tendencies, but hey, that's always something, huh? 😸 Much love From STHLM, Sweden
I'm not sure if Ren has any record deals. However, Ren Erin Gill (born 29 March 1990), known professionally as Ren, is a Welsh "singer-songwriter, producer, rapper, busker, poet, and multi-instrumentalist known for his collaborative music work with other singers. He was a member of the indie hip-hop band Trick The Fox and The Big Push, a British busking band based in Brighton. Big Push seem to be V. popular on RU-vid
Ren was in a band called The Big Push and has collaborated with several different artists! Check out Chalk Outlines with Chinchilla,The Big Push doing I shot the sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip hop, Ren amnd Sam Tomkins doing Blind eyed, Humble with Eden Nash so many and all brilliant!!!
fun trippy track, I’d go for a Delirium with this one as well 😂, love how your minds work! Super fun reaction, keep ‘m coming! (If you want to check out collabs, perhaps try something more spicy and hoppy like La Chouffe with a Big Push song or something more bitter and aged like Geuze Oud Boon for a Ren x Chinchilla collab 👌
Great reaction. How many of you have made Ren out to be THIS? This is the very short version~~>>>>> They've named me a wandering bard, A timeless and enigmatic nomad, But I feel lost within myself, Unsure of where my heart is at, A chameleon of the human race, A trickster, a sage, a shifting face, THE SAGE OF TALES, untamed and wild, Unraveling truths with a knowing smile. I wonder if I still possess, The fire, the strength, the tenderness, To sing with the voice of countless years, And dance like dreams that never wither, Can I still weave a web of tales, Drawing wisdom from hidden wells, No longer certain, I hesitate, As I stand at destiny's gate. My goal was once to bring delight, Through melodies that dance in flight, Yet now I question my own role, In the grand scheme of the cosmic whole, Is it laughter or the bitter truth, That I must share with the world uncouth, As the minstrel who sees the core, Of what humanity's striving for. The jester, they say, can speak the truth, While others hide in masks uncouth, A voice of reason in a world of lies, I am the proof, the truth that cries, But now I wonder if I have the strength, To bear the weight of truth's full length, To guide the lost and heal the blind, And bring the world a peace of mind. To break the chains of false belief, And offer solace, hope, relief, I must return to innocence, Embrace the child within, and hence, Confront the lies, the pain, the strife, And start anew, a fresh new life, For I am stronger than I know, In this journey where truth must grow. No longer here for jest or scorn, For kings and queens who've long been worn, I stand before you, truth in hand, To save mankind from its own demand, From savagery and cruel fate, I share my wisdom, love, and hate, A guide, a friend, a soul reborn, Just a human, seeking truth's forlorn. If you want to see his collaborations then watch the following: Chalk Outlines featuring Chinchilla (live version is great) How to be Me featuring Chinchilla Humble featuring Eden Nash What Went Wrong featuring Sam Tompkins Plenty of others too. He was also in a band called The Big Push and lots of good videos on their RU-vid channel, mixture of original tracks and covers.
Alphabet assassins by Mongrel (Lowkeys old supergroup with Jon McClure(Singer from Reverend and the Makers) Andy Nicholson(bassist from Arctic Monkeys) Drew McConnell(Guitarist/bassist from Babyshambles) Matt Helders(Drummer from Arctic Monkeys) and on their album they featured loads of at the time unsigned British rappers including Mic Righteous, Wretch 32, English Frank, Tony D (UK battle rap GOAT) and many, many others. All feature on this track.
Ren doesn’t have a daily dappy or in the booth the only thing which comes close is Ren bedroom lol 16 bars and he doesn’t freestyle but he has a go and it’s very funny but great! On his channel he has a live stream with Liv Sangster a great freestyle singer the stream is over 2 hours long but you can go through it and find the freestyle bit. The whole thing is great to watch he talks about his health and other topics and a great jamming session he kills it on the guitar.
Alright... so you guys know Ren... now you gotta hear what he's passionate about... Money Game Part 1, and then Part 2 And you haven't even touched on "The Big Push" Ren can Rap Rap... he can Sing Sing, too... as you've seen... but there is a LOT more. and... still coming out with new stuff. He's my favorite artist. All I do these days is find new channels that react to his stuff. wanna see who gets what and how they interpret it... but man... Money Game. trust
Cool reaction guys! You haven't even reacted to Ren and Sam's improvisation of Superstitious. Absolutely recommendable (like everything that this exceptional talent does)
The 2 Dudes with him are just Friends , they have just been Roped in for the Video to give it the Beastie Boys Vibe, the Track is all Ren no one else involved
Ren is the single most versatile artist I’ve EVER heard. I’m only 27, but music has always played a huge part in my life. Venturing through genres, and artists, there’s no one as talented as this man.
I believe that one of the other guys is Sam Tompkins. Not sure if you have done any of their collabs, but they are wild together. The other one, may be Sam Perry Ren’s primary filmmaker friend.
Guys, would you like to see his old project? Trix the fox, that was 10+ years ago, there are a dozen videos on the channel and each one is good in its own way.
