A little earlier in the chat, Ren talked about the positive feedback loop between artists and reaction channels. It was really nice. And when he began crying when the reaction videos started popping up, I think the rest of us were crying too...or was that just me? 🤣

i think Ren recognises that many of us would not know him or have sought out his music if we hadn't bumped into him on a reactor's channel. I myself found out about him thanks to Elizabeth, from the charismatic voice channel. Tapping into and looping back to the reactors circuit when you find yourself on the crest of a viral wave is both smart and respectful. On one hand it must be really encouraging for him to see that so many people appreciate his work, on the other hand, he doesn't have a label, and the word of mouth service many of you provide has been vital to give him the visibility he has now. and yah, he's right.. you do seem to be one of the reactors most in tune with his references... you from the rapper/industry angle, Becca Doss from the angle of sharing a very similar medical history as Ren.

Well deserved flowers for Knox the reaction GOAT! Been watching A LOT of reactions to help push Ren, and there are a lot who are clearly inspired by you. i really hope other Ren fans are doing this too ... i kind of happily disagree with you that he doesn't need you or us. The more reactors? The more hype for Ren. The more his name is everywhere. The more of us who watch y'all and subscribe and make it worth your while to react to Ren? The more other reactors will want a bite. I always always make sure to check out any art that reactors are putting out, like/subscribe/comment ... it's free and one thing i CAN do to help support, not just the independent music that feels GOOD to be a part of but the reactors and artists in their own right.

The part in the begging about having a meaning and still leaving it open ended and open for interpretation is amazing and i love it when artist's do that. Reminds me of 21 pilots when they said "I'm a kitchen sink. And you don't know what that means. Cuz a kitchen sink to you, is not a kitchen sink to me." It may mean one thing to the artist, but to someone on the outside just connecting with the music it can mean something completely different, and I think that's beautiful. Great video. It started out funny with you complaining about your own intro, but I think that by itself says a lot about Ren: He didn’t skip it. He could have at any time just plopped right to the beginning of the song, but nope, helping advertise you and your music in the cut. And just when you didn’t think you could get any more compliments from him, boom: “My mates are waiting for me. It’s my birthday.” And then he delays thrice waiting for your next catch. … I dunno, can you get more compliments in 17 minutes? And I dunno if I’m misreading, but I had the sense there were several moments you were at least a little nervous, which I’m not used to seeing. If I’m right, shows how much you value Ren’s thoughts. Huge congrats!

My two new favourite young men showing each other love and gratitude has made my day! I discovered Ren with Hi Ren LOVED IT and wanted to know more. Then I realised he does a lot of Rap. Being an old lady with no understanding of Rap I went looking for Reactors to see if they could enlighten me. I loved almost all of the reactors I came across, gave them all a sub, BUT it has been Knox I return to time and time again, Knox has educated me and helped me to see and appreciate the total genius of Ren that I don’t think I would have without Knox! This was awesome, I've been watching your video's for years now Knox I'm a 47 year old guy from Scotland with a strong appreciation for music of all kinds but I sometimes need help understanding some (especially new) music and the way you break it down for me and everyone is a blessing I was a little slow at joining the Renaissance I kept seeing Hi Ren pop up everywhere but for some reason I think maybe because it was obviously so popular I just thought it was another piece of cultural pop fluff so I never watched/listened to it until your reaction came up on my feed and straight away I regretted waiting after watching your reaction at least a cpl of times the RU-vid algorithm kicked in and up to now I think I've covered almost all the reactors and that's a freaking lot and rightly so Hi Ren is imperfect perfection personified and Monster jeezo the flows in that, anyways now to see you two big each other up is the icing and I do hope to see much more of this and maybe a collab speaking on collab's can you imagine what Ren and Tom MacDonald could come up with if you stuck both of them in a room together, don't know if the worlds ready for that but I oh so want to see it. You talked about inception - think about the viewer experience, that's inception x 2 :) Also - one thing you said I do not completely agree with is at the very end (21:28) you say that ultimately it's what the artist intended that matters. IMO - to hijack the famous saying - the art is in the eye of the beholder: in my experience, there are plenty of instances where the artist, creating the piece, had some specific situation/emotion in mind, however for the person listening to it connects it with something wholly different. And I think it's equally valid! Art is there to invoke emotions - if mine are not exactly what you intend does that mean they're less valuable? Anyway - hopefully some food for thought :) Thank you again for doing what you're doing and I hope you never change in the genuineness (genunity?) of what you put out! Best wishes :)

Been following Ren around through a lot of these reactions. This one is like the inception of react videos, for real. And this is my first time here, and idk how big you are (as in famous, not trying to fight you, bruh..😂), but you seem legitimately humble and real. I like that. I've been saying basically the same stuff in the comments for reacts, but these things are great in my opinion. It is a way for content creators to build one another up, share their following with others and it costs only the time and attention. Although, he was right, you are intelligent and put more work into reacts than most. So kudos, my guy! If I have two apples, and I gave one to you, we would both then have just one apple. However, if I have an idea, a thought, an understanding, an emotion and I shared it with you, I lose nothing, nothing worth keeping at least, and you gain, at the very least, perspective. Though most undervalue what another person's perspective is worth, it is obvious by your inception style react that you value it correctly. . . . . . . . And I just typed a novel to say that I see nothing but positivity bouncing in all directions on here. And after following Ren for the last 4 years.... it is about time he sees some positivity from the community.
