He not only had the side effects of the medications, but the additional effects of meds he didn’t need to have AND the ongoing symptoms and damages from the untreated Lymes Disrase.

I've had doctors get mad because I quit medications that made me feel so bad that I could barely function. My main healthcare provider now is a nurse practitioner who actually listens

Mini-bio: In his late teens, Ren contracted Lyme Disease and had no idea. When he started getting sick, he was diagnosed with a variety of different conditions, including ME/CFS, psychosis, and others. He was provided with treatment and medications that not only didn't help, but made his condition worse. He refused to accept this and managed to determine what he had and had to go to a doctor in Belgium to get an independent verification that he had Lyme Disease. But after a decade, the disease had done a lot of damage to his system, including to his nervous system and immunological response. He was so sick, he couldn't get out of bed more than an hour a day. So he put out videos about his situation in an effort to help save others from the same fate. Those videos were found by a neurologist in California who offered him an experimental stem cell treatment for free if he could get to the lab. Ren made that happen and responded very well to it, which gave him back a quality of life where he could actually have a life again. This track is about how the Capitalistic system is parasitic and harmful to art, health, and even the world. The pig mask represents Greed. He's got a trio of tracks, Money Game 1, 2, & 3 (the 3rd video won awards!) that go deeper into that side of his messaging.

Thanks for a great reaction ❤❤❤ Here is some brief information about Ren: Ren Eryn Gill was born in Wales in 1990. He moved to Brighton in 2013 and did a lot of busking. He studied music performance at Bath Spa University. In 2009 he became seriously ill and had difficulty attending lectures. In 2010, he was signed to Sony Records. However, as his health continued to deteriorate, he had to terminate the contract. Ren was initially misdiagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder and chronic fatigue syndrome, which led to him suffering from psychosis. It was not until seven years later that a doctor in Belgium finally diagnosed him with autoimmunity and Lyme disease, which led to brain, organ and joint damage as well as PTSD. After stem cell therapy in the United States, his health improved considerably. However, he continues to suffer greatly from his illnesses. For over a year he was undergoing treatment in Canada. A few month ago he came back to the UK to play hist first concert after five years (look for The Secret Garden Party). Not sure were he's now. In October 2023, his album "Sick Boi" was number one in the British album charts. On his RenMakesStuff channel you can find an autobiographical reading about his story in eight chapters. From the end of his friend Joe over becoming ill, getting and losing the contract with Sony, via his odyssey through various diagnosis and attempts of treatments to becoming at least better after his stem cell treatment. Very personal and emotional videos. His song Troubles is a kind of condensation of these readings. Absolutely worth watching. You will understand his songs even better afterwards and they become even more intense.

Dude! New to Ren! You experienced some of what Ren went through. My suggestion is that you watch 'Animal Flow', then 'Seven Sins' next. Hold off on the masterpiece items like 'Money Game 1, 2 and 3' and 'Tale of Jenny and Screech (Full)'. Those are beautiful stories and you need a lot of time to watch. Hit 'Losing It', 'What You Want' and 'Genesis' and 'Illest of Our Time' for some banger fun stuff. 'The Hunger' is just wrong in a very right way for rap. I want to watch all your reactions Boogie!

Oh, Ren can and does curse, when appropriate He can also have some 'naughty, cheeky" lyrics and is not afraid to make fun of himself. Not this one, but many of his videos are 'One Shot'...filmed live in one take, sometimes it takes over 100 goes to get it right. Ren is a bit of a perfectionist with his music/videos/performances/sound etc.
