Bro Sean, so happy you're seeing the multiple sides of Ren's genius. If you want to see another that will blow your mind again, then react to Ren with his band The Big Push "I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uSeCuR51rek.html . This man starts with the spirit of Bob Marley posseting him and then ends the set with a f'n Dead Prez tune straight outta the 90's. All of it Live in concert!
Yup. That’s the appropriate reaction when you first hear Ren rap rap 😂 And then remind yourself that he also sings and plays multiple instruments. The amount of talent this guy has is mind boggling. The Ren rabbit hole is deep but it’s just one great song after the other on the way down 🕳️ 🐇
5 days ago I listened the best reaction on Ren's multiple talents. The guy goes nuts looking at the camera and says...." SOoooooomany talents!!! BROOOOO....PICK ONE!!!!" 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂😂
Don't forget what is quite possibly his number one talent... he's a hell of an ACTOR. Just watching a lot of his videos and realizing they're single take, one-man SHOWS. The facial expressions, timing, and just acting out the scenes he's portraying... it's amazing stuff.
Your look of surprise was priceless! He is a true Ren-aissance man and can do it all: a multi-instrumentalist, song writer, singer, rapper, beatboxer, makes a lot of his videos himself AND always produces his own beats. (FYI: Ren usually pins his lyrics in the comments of his videos.)
I love witnessing that "dawning realization" of what Ren brings to the world stage... Have fun falling down the rabbit hole... His catalog of music is insanely diverse.
I keep commenting everywhere that I wanna see a reaction to both the studio version and live acoustic version of Genesis. I'm so fascinated by the live version that I yearn for a reaction to it 😅😆
Your face was priceless when he started going off 😂 I actually used to proudly say that I hated rap and hip hop, but that's because I was an idiot and had never heard what a real artist can do with the medium. Ren opened my world up to the genre and I feel like I have a lot of exciting stuff to look forward to exploring that I've been sleeping on!
Have you checked out Sean's own stuff? Also, check out Knox Hill's and I am sure Sean's own breakdowns of Eminem, and you will see its beauty. Check out Music to be murdered by as entry drug.
While my sons were growing up and so into Rap, I did not understand it. Listening to Ren Rap, I am so smitten. I am never going to leave this rabbit-hole, it keeps on giving. Thank you for your lovely reaction.
So you started with "Hi Ren" then hit "The Hunger".......I would love for you now to react to "Chalk Outlines (live version)" Please guys, vote this up! You'll get a little bit of an understanding what kind of a talent Ren is after those 3 songs. He is a truly special artist.
🤣 Your facial expressions throughout that were priceless! Ren is so versatile and talented! Thanks, enjoyable reaction. By the way, I like the lyrics - if anyone missed any bars, Ren pins them as first comment on the video.
Considering RAP means Rhythm And Poetry and Ren is a storytelling slam poetry/spoken word wonder. It's only fitting that he's incredible at rapping like everything else. The epitome of multifaceted.
@Chris Lawton it does in this day and age. Otherwise in medieval it meant speak sharp or vigorous but that's a whole load of definitions including backronyms which I don't fully understand.
@@BLIND82 you cant change the origins of something based on how it's used now. It's origins are still the same. But ren is good at rhythm and poetry, you are 100% right
I dubbed Ren "Yeasty Boy" 'Cause he on the rise! ☝️☝️ Been a Ren Stan since 2019 and this delights me to no end to finally see happening 🙌 well deserved and long overdue! His rap track "Insomnia" is one of my favourite songs ever even though I am usually not a rap girl.
All these seeds that I'm sewing slowly growing like trees I grow then I preach Scrap that I teach Teach over beats To all those that seek Teach on these streets Streets can be bleak But bleak was the place where I rose to my feet”
Best rapper renaction! I loved your face during this spitting feat. Thank you for this! Go down the rabbit hole!! Welcome in!!! You are important! Losing it is very fun too. You might like his retake of Bittersweet Symphony. The bass player liked it enough to send him a guitar! 🖖🏻❤️🔥🔥
Thank you for just letting it play rather than chopping it all up. For another great rap and beat check out Genesis. Very smooth and natural delivery while still dropping dense bars.
Yep. Showed this one to my 4th grader to illustrate the wonders of alliteration and poetry. Loved it and I don't listen to rap, at least not commercialized rap. Absolutely loved your gob-smacked reaction, and then, of course, followed up with some good analysis for a first listen. 👍 Love your reactions! 🤍
Dude, there's nothing Ren can't do! Losing It, Fisher Rap Retake, is another he raps hard on. Check out his stuff with his band The Big Push for his guitar and singing. I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop is amazing!
This is his Frankenstein’s monster - a mixture of different flows, rhyme schemes, and cadences. For a fun sound check out Ren “Losing It”. Also, “Genesis” and “Power” are fire too. Check out Ren singing in his band The Big Push “I shot the sheriff/road to Zion/hiphop. He does an amazing cover.
If you want to see yet another facet of REN, check out I Shot the Sherriff / Road to Zion / Hip Hop. It is recorded live on the street with a band he was part of called The Big Push. It really shows off his more traditional singing style.
Hit the way back machine and watch his stuff from 10 years ago. The talent has always been there. Trick the Fox is the name of his band back then. Different RU-vid account. Check out "street lights" if you want to hear something amazing from his past.
Your rant at the end is fantastic. Yeah, radio is commercialized, modern rap. It's not for everyone. But it's easier to market. Interestingly, in Shakespeare's time, writers used to challenge each other in public in a way that's reminiscent of battle rap today. Sort of an intellectual challenge with couplets and rhymes & etc. It's being used today by many rappers because iambic pentameter translates well to music. It's not the genesis of rap, but... since people are calling Ren a modern-day Bard, it's still worth noting :)
Oh I loved this! Great breakdown, but your face was indeed priceless. Ray from Vibereacts put it well: World: What style of music do you do? Ren: Ren. I really enjoyed hearing you speaking from your position of someone who knows how it's done. It gives a great new dimension. Ren makes almost all of his beats himself, he beatboxes, he makes a lot of it on the guitar, he sings, he plays piano, apparently cello (?). Ren classifies himself mainly as a rapper, but he doesn't see why rappers cannot sing and play instruments. Thanks Sean.
Watch him busking solo or with his band The Big Push or with Sam Tompkins. His range is insane. He can do reggae, Black Sabbath, beatbox etc. He probably could do opera with some training.
Great reaction. This is like a showcase for his skills, an old school call-out/showing off type vibe. I think you’ll appreciate’Genesis’, ‘Crucify Your Culture’, ‘Life is Funny’ and ‘Dear God’ as more structured rap songs - his lyrics and flow are crazy.
One take, his own beats! Enjoyed this very much, one of my favorites from Ren. But this is just a tip of the iceberg - keep going bra! Try Looking It (Fisher retake) to see him go to the next level and the video is dope! After that check out his former band The Big Push - I shot the sheriff/road to zion/hip hop, war pigs live busking and mashups with Sam Tompkins - Blind Eyed, Earned it/Man's world/Falling. Enjoy the ride!
great reaction man, you made me smile. ren's got it all locked down, sings, raps, acts, plays guitar, bass/acoustic/lead, plays piano, keyboards, writes, produces, mixes his own music, directs his own vidoes, performs live. i just hope the treatment he is getting in canada helps him out, coz id love to see him busking live.
Your expressions and reaction were great. There doesn’t seem to be much he can’t do. Lots of talent going many directions. Happy to hear he’s getting the recognition he deserves!
Great review. Ren is truly amazing. Heading down his rabbit hole is absolutely a Rollercoaster ride. It's been recommended before, but Losing It Fisher remix is awesome, as well as Genesis. I also really like Power as far as his more upbeat songs.
Ren does everything himself, Plays multiple instruments, produces, sings, Raps. listen carefully, the beats are him too. Lots of his videos are one take. Literally nothing he can’t do. 🐇🕳️🖤
Found Ren 2 months ago. I have listened to his music, gone down the rabbit hole if you will, every single day. I can't get enough. I haven't felt this way about an artists for years. What a fucking talent! Thanks for the reaction - new subscriber to your channel also.
Now you gotta hear him and Sam doing the Street performance of man’s world it’s incredible too! He can sing like any style and rap plus play guitar..multitalented! He is so down to earth too! Genuinely a good guy!
Aint it refreshing ..glad you dug this one . check out Ren What ya want . And Ren - Losing it ( FISHER rap retake ) first is a bestie homage and the second hella good Jam .and Ren Genesis has a great bass track for the car.
Omg that's me listening to Ren! I couldn't believe him! I really love your reactions lol. I do have a suggestion tho...Red Ruby Da Sleeze by Nicki Minaj, it just released yesterday! The shots she takes at people like Megan are crazy and the sample is a classic
More Ren, with The Big Push. ♥ When he was younger. ♥ "English Man In New York" for his beautiful singing voice, also "Bongo Bong.♥ Both are covers, and the three of them are extremely talented. As a poetry writer for over 50 years I would love to add rhythm to my rhymes, except I am not a musician, but I did sing alto in high school glee club. LOL But I can listen to rap or hip hop now if it's done more like this!! A lot of rap over the years has turned me off to that style. Thanks to Ren it's all new to me now.
You need to hear "i shot the sheriff/zion rd/hip hop." :) i will leave it at that. Also "what you want" for old school rap. "Losing it" is just plain fun. Love, "hold on" too. Money game 1 and 2 (together).
Hehe this is like crack to me hehe watching everyone that found Hi Ren and was like "Heck yeah check out some of his other stuff... OH!!! Like RAP-RAP!" hehe so fun watching y'all find out :D
