Ren is like an UFO in the music industry. Polymophic musician, good at almost everything. This man is mindblowing and his lyrics are often beautiful, deep and touching.

Both Ren and Moby made their own beat from the original sample by Vera Hall. Ren's initial take on this in 2018 was Ren's first viral posting by a fan that allowed him to hope for a second chance at a career.

As said, the Vera Hall sang the 1937 original "Trouble So Hard" Vera's original is sung acepello. Both Ren and Mobi sampled the original. Both samples are completely different productions. Ren did a short vid on how he did his production.

Ren is good RAW... pause... raw acoustic version. Crazy to think his LIVE non studio version is better than his studio.. should be the other way around. Ren is the goat!
