I was taught the fingers trick for multiples of 9s. Like for 9x7, I put all my fingers out in front of me and put down the 7th finger. The number of fingers I have to the left of the finger I put down is the first digit of the answer. The number of fingers to the right is the second digit. 63

or you can use the 9s trick. all you have to do is subtract 1 from the number 9 is being multiplied by to get the first number, then what the remainder is to get you to 9 is the second number. for example, 4x9 = 36. 4-1 is 3, which is your first number. 9-3 is 6, which is your second number. Then you get 36, which is the answer. this will also work from 1x9 to 10x9. Also, adding up the numbers in the answer of pretty much anything times will most of the time also give you 9, even past 10x9. for example 9x12 = 108. 1+0+8=9. 9x27=243. 2+4+3=9. 9x39 is 351. 3+5+1 is 9. Beyond 40, everything adds up to a factor of 9. it can add up to typically 18, then some of the bigger numbers will be 27, its al really cool stuff
