Thx for the spoiler alert. Secondly, everybody is wired differently. I know you mean well by your comment, but not everyone can regulate emotions as well as they would want to. Peoples brains differ, just keep that in mind.
I've only said the same words the other day ....he still stuck his head trying to knock me out...FML ...I'm sitting in the dark alone ...just so I don't have ta be with him ...mother sucker . X
After finishing this story I’m more shocked at how gullible these parents were. I mean this entire lie could have been exposed very early on by just pulling up the inmates public records and seeing that inmate does not exist! This was so avoidable. very sad.
Best not to just believe that young men are rich like she did. That would have been a LOT of the appeal for her. Greedy like too many catfished people before.
@@madsdee7803 I agree but I can see why a young man that can support himself would appeal to anyone…the part where she believed it over the internet is what’s so naive and gullible, wishful thinking.
Our Canadian law just found a Dutch man guilty of stalking, harassing and tormenting and blackmailing a young Canadian teenage girl to the point of taking her own life. He was sentenced to 13 years. Apparently he had been doing this to many young girls in different countries. The laws must make them accountable for their despicable actions while they hide behind the internet.
Fellow Canadian here..Australian LE had to have dropped the ball somewhere bcuz it doesn't make sense...a crime was definitely committed here not just catfishing!! A life was taken by this deranged "friend" and again that's a crime no matter how u word it!!
@@hondoozie1972 yes, this person is guilty of second degree murder by proxy, if nothing else, mad that life in prison isn't her fate! A strange, crazy, dangerous individual like that free to do it all over again!
@@BiljanaPetrova He was already convicted and serving prison sentence in the Netherlands. Now that the Canadian trial is over he is being shipped back and the Dutch courts will interpret and apply the Canadian verdict. Hopefully he will serve the full term but of course the courts move slowly. Thankfully he already has the Dutch sentence to finish.
A perspective from a 61 year old woman who clearly did not grow up with Social media : social media is now dominating our lives . The way we interact with each other is new and different -- so our laws need to be as well . I feel like , unfortunately , this may be only the beginning of more treachery concerning crimes/relationships and social media . It's time for the lawmakers to look at what's going on around them in 2022 .
But this girl was abused by someone she knew in the real world. I think teaching personal boundaries and judging people by their actions are good tools for kids nowadays, same like they were for us back in the day
@Pamela LaPierre I agree with you completely 💯!!!! I just turned 52 years old recently & I was just telling my brother how BAD social media & the internet really is for our society!!!! I can't stand it & wish we could go back to the days before it even came about....I miss the good Ole days, lol lol 😆 😂....
I am a 66 year old lady. I agree with you 100% . I live in America and have read stories where women are cat fished into remortgaging their homes to help out a person who is not what they say they are. It happens a lot in Malaysia where guys spend all day trying to find the nice sweet widow that they can scam. They put up a picture of a person maybe from a magazine but say it’s them. Of course these people say they are widowed and supposedly one child in the teens. But this is what people will do all day trolling for a widow they can manipulate ! It’s deplorable! Mankind needs rules as they can be terrible at being good human beings
To the young brother... Don't be sorry, it's OK to cry when your heart is broken... facing and accepting your feelings is an act of strength. Good luck to you and your family.
AMEN 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 Thank you 😊 🙏 ❤️ for sharing your kind words!!!! It's so wonderful to see someone share kindness ☺️ 😊 ❤️ & humanity ❤️ 😊....God bless you 🙏 & your family 👪 😊 ❤️....
I agree completely 💯!!!! I can't believe the DA gave her immunity either!!!!! But, she still went in there & LIED, so I believe that SHOULD cause the deal of immunity to become NULL & VOID & she SHOULD be prosecuted for the death of Renée!!!!! Normally, that's how plea deals for immunity work, IF you don't tell the ENTIRE TRUTH, then it causes it to become null & void!! The DA there is NOT doing his/her job properly & that's JUST SAD & DISGRACEFUL!!!!! Her parents, loved ones, friends & that community SHOULD be protesting the DA & that county to prosecute that MONSTER for the death of Renée!!!!!!
My heart broke listening to her parents talk about her last text. I can’t even imagine as a parent myself going through this unimaginable pain. Prayers to her parents 💜
Sociopaths have no conscience, can be incredibly manipulative and charming, and are skillful liars. Her husband is probably totally under her emotional control as well.
This is a frightening tale but equally so is how naive and sheltered Renae was…so many major red flags everywhere. The moral to this story is to teach our children what boundaries are.
Sounds like she was desperate to have a relationship. My sister is the same and has been cheated on for years including by one guy who used her to get to a facebook friend of hers. Plus this girl thought "Braydan" was wealthy so her greed led her too.
We also have to help them to have the strength to stand up and enforce those boundaries. That is much harder, because it can also require one to defy peer pressure. In general people want to fit in and belong.
Amen! Boundaries are what I'm most grateful for now at 40. Never knew I could have that growing up or even most of my adulthood. . Lots of trauma blinded me
I agree, there were so many red flags. I don't understand why she fell in love with a criminal anyway. Unfortunately she wouldn't be the type to listen. What a nasty narcissist story
Yeah, I just lost it. I've got a son and a daughter and if something happened to either of them the other would be broken completely. Hope the family finds peace.
I always feel & say when people start crying we should say “ don’t apologise , you cry you weep you feel but don’t apologise “ 💚 The loss of a loved one is the ultimate pain why should people apologise for those tears .💚💚💚
Such evil manipulative people live amongst us and he/she could be your neighbour, your work colleague, your best friend!!! I also wondered just how fragile Renee was to listen to everything this witch was telling her, having a relationship with someone you couldn’t visit in jail. It’s so bizarre
No recommendation from the courts, no implementation of laws pertaining to fraud outside of monetary..the fact the family as a consequence bump into this person when buying bread and milk...this story by example is so many kinds of wrong is heartbreaking. As a mother this is a terrifying story and my heart goes out to this woman x
Truly a tragic story and almost unbelievable that someone could do such a thing out of pure jealousy. More stories of this sort need to be told and treated as crimes.
Absolutely. I guess I'm naive because as this doc progressed I was just waiting for the part where justice prevailed and she got sent to prison. It's horrible. Camillas family is apparently rich and well connected to politicians. That might've played a part in it.
This isn't just a case of jealousy. this is about Narcissism and Renae unfortunately happened to end up having a narcissist friend. Narcissist people are dangerous.
@@alexf9381 idc how wealthy or well connected someone’s family is. If someone hurt and/or killed, or caused them to kill themselves I would personally kill whoever was involved myself especially if that person was not prosecuted and found guilty and sentenced to life.
An evil Narcissist Witch 🤬🤬🤬 Parents please communicate with your children all the time don't let them get into bad relationships. Such a tragic story 😪
13 year old boy opens phone that police can't. Father analyses call data and cracks the case. Deranged woman deletes text messages so that they are unrecoverable. Police fail to preserve vital cell phone data. All these examples show the ineptitude of Australian police.
I don't understand why the police couldn't recover the text messages, I think in the UK they can. They could have gone international and contact the British police.
This is just so wrong what this woman did to Renee was evil...to Renee's parent's please keep fighting because this needs to be a law...I feel so sad for Renee and her family...thankyou again Adam for telling this story and with so much respect RIP Renee 😥💜
My heart breaks for Renae’s loved ones. As for Camilla, what a sad life; you have nothing going for you so you chose to ruin someone else’s life. RIP Renae.
I feel like Renees parents could've done so much more. Not blaming them, but for you to be ok with your daughter dating a man in prison for manslaughter and you don't get a background check done? You just take the word of the abusive friend that he's an ok guy. Stop being your kids' friend and be their parent 🤯
Renee was a grown up adult not a child, they obviously disapproved and preferred the 1st boyfriend but if they tried to dictate it would only push Renee away further. This ain’t a country of forced marrige and parents can’t dictate who their adult child falls in love with.
Never start a relationship with a person you can't talk to in person, no matter how much he/ she sweet talks you. Always use a service like tineye to check the photo. There is so much evil going on online. Parents PLEASE stay alert and set boundaries even if it hurts.
OMG!! I am shocked! Never saw that coming. As a mother of 3, I cannot begin to fathom the amount of pain and hurt this poor family has been through. I really do pray that one day they'll be able to find some sort of peace again. My heart breaks for her family left to deal with all of this.
Wouldn't they be able to pull them out of the cloud today 11/22. Remember the 13 year old who hacked the phone when the police couldn't? All police need to have bright young IT savvy people working for them. Even as civilian workers.
My heart breaks for you all. I have 6 children, my oldest is also my Best Friend. Sadly he's on life support in a comma fighting for his life. Just the fact that i cannot fix him kills me, there is no rule book for parents when it comes to such overwhelming grief. I understand loose is a part of life but no Family should ever need to experience this form of pain. God Bless you and the journey you're taking to change the law. This shouldn't be a fight for justice, for any family. Common Sense is so long gone this day in age. Good Luck & God Bless
Ranae, your story brought heartaches to many of us who don't even know you. Thank you to your parents in sharing your story with the world bringing awareness to how toxic the social media can be when used in the hands of monsters. You were betrayed by someone you trusted. I am so sorry that your life ended without knowing the truth. As a mother, I too have a good relationship with my daughter. I can imagine how difficult it is for Mrs. Marsden. For all the girls out there, if a relationship ends, it may mean there is something else better waiting for you down the road. The hurt is only temporary. Choice to talk to you love ones, cry, eat, do shopping, running, whatever but do not let yourself be alone and push yourself to a dead end. Whatever Carmela did was unforgivable. She may not be sentenced by the law but in the heart of many, she is the one who caused Ranae's death.
Was this Camilla ever investigated for possible homicide in this sad case? It seems extremely suspicious to me - Renae leaving her shoes behind - keeping her cell phone on her but leaving the old one behind- the final text messages. This psychopath Camilla had been impersonating people, lying. manipulating. physically abusive. Why on earth wouldn't anyone suspect or investigate her possible involvement in poor Renae's death? Can someone please answer this question, it seems so obvious to me!
My thoughts exactly! And it seems odd that Renae would get dressed and put on makeup before she left if she had that plan all along. I definitely have a strong suspicion that Camilla was involved, even when the mom first explained Camilla’s behavior that night it sounded odd. Camilla hadn’t tried to call or worry about Renae after getting that text? Also, why would Camilla be one of two or three people she texted before she jumped if Renae didn’t even want to be friends with her? So weird.
Excatly my thoughts as well. Did the useless police Atleast trace where Camila's phone pinged at the time renea allegedly committed suicide? And I don't buy that the police couldn't trace the messages Camila deleted off her phone. The police should have asked that 13 year old boy to retrieve those messages..I bet he would have been able to do that and more. It seems so obvious to me that Camila pushed renea off the cliff and staged the scene for suicide. Camila was probably enraged because renea had decided to cut off their friendship and that could have been her motive for murder. Studies show that the risk of getting murdered is the highest when the victim tells their abuser they want to break up/divorce. This scenario applies to Camila's deranged psyche in how she sees renea(as a romantic interest).
Catfishing is not a crime in any country in the world, unless there is money involved. And that's not catfishing anymore(hustling). Breaking someone heart or emotional manipulation is not a crime (morally wrong). There could be civil case, but not criminal case. Catfishing is common. I have been catfished before. I discovered the catfish a year after it happened. In this case, the problem is Renae could not handle having her heart broken.
It is hard to believe how gullible Renae and her parents were. What sort of parents are ok about their daughter saying is is going to marry a guy they (and she) have never met because he is in jail?
Also, what is wrong with people who fall in love with someone online they never met? I think Renae had some emotional problems the parents did not detect or deal with
Please Continue Naming,Shaming,Showing this Psychopathic Woman's Face so she can NEVER be fully Vindicated for The Pain and Damage that has been inflicted on this Poor Family and their Daughter RIP Beautiful Girl❤
It is so unfair how Renae got her life snuffed out and how she couldn’t live a happy decent life while she was here on earth because of this woman! And now that same woman is married with children! Something Renae always wanted!!! So unfair!!! Rip Renae!!! ❤🕊️🙏🏾
It is difficult to imagine that a person could purposefully contrive to hurt and even destroy someone they claim to care about. I hope that most of us don’t even think about actions like this, let alone act on them.
Very interesting story. Tragic what that girl did to Renee and all she put her through, she's definitely responsible for Renee's death. So sad the law doesn't see it that way.
This is such a sad and heartbreaking story 😢 My heart breaks for her family and true friends 💔 and to think she can’t be charged with anything!!! My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends 🙏🙏🙏
Sad what the parents are going through but based its an online relationship, some basic googling would have found out that the photo is not real, there was no bike accident or manslaughter charge and the whole thing a fraud. Very strange story. The host is excellent. He compassionate, thorough and cool selection of f hats
Renée's Law needs to happen. Females develop close bonds growing up, often in pairs. If one has the intent of a romantic bond, knowing the other shows no romantic interest, then that kind of deceit is deliberate and destructive. Because, what one thinks is caring friendship advice is really coercive control. Its in the same catagory as stalking. This happened to me and it lasted years before it escalated. I felt so violated and worse, I realised all the times she was advising me, she had alternative motives. I'm still avoiding her and she still makes contact with family members. The difference is I'm older and we didn't have all the technology there is today. There was also a very similar situation with a rising South American star whose so called best friend (really decietful lover wannabe) who became possessive and jealous and shot the singer. So I do hope Renée's Law is passed, and that there is more education on this topic along with more clarification. This kind of deception, when it includes behaviours like stalking and coercive control, could happen to any young person and it can ruins lives.
Very well put together comment. Everybody should take the time to read it. RIP to Renee. It's so horrible that she ended her young life for a boyfriend who didn't even exist.
I'm honestly finding this so difficult to watch, that a human being can be this evil. This is incredibly disturbing. My thoughts and prayers are with this family. Hectic!
Has anyone considered how odd it is that a teenager just managed to find an app and mysteriously unlock a phone? The Australian police must thrown some resources at trying to recover the data. I find it hard to believe they are that inept.
My guess is that since it was a clear case of suicide, whoever was in charge of this case just didn't care much about the contents of the phone thinking it was meaningless. If this was a phone found on a murder victim there's no way they wouldn't have found a way to unlock the phone. In any case, investigators here aren't typically inept. This is just one of those rare cases.
I'm not the least bit surprised. The cops probably just tapped a few buttons and gave up instantly. These are 60-year-old men who have no idea how the internet or technology works.
1. I'm 15 minutes into this episode. Don't tell me the best friend was pretending to be boyfriend #2. 2. Inmates don't dump partners. They hang on to anyone who will wait for them outside prison. = red flag
Seeing camilla's mother's reaction with reporters tells me a lot. I still can't believe they did not prosecute her for anything... stalking or harrassment...nothing it's sad but also maddening!!!
Years ago I’ve had a friend who tried take control over my life. She was being successful until I met my now husband. He showed me who she really was. For a short while she manipulated both of us. We started arguing and almost broke up because of her. Then when we made up she continued trying to keep us apart. Today she’s married to my husband’s brother. We cannot block her completely and have to remain relatives now. But she no longer has any control of us.
Renae’s mental health was already fragile if she actively chose to carry on an 18-month relationship with a convict in prison for manslaughter. Camila must have been a master manipulator because it would have been easy to spot similarities in their texting style, grammar, syntax as well as shared opinions on certain topics. The two people you communicate with the most are the same person and you can’t spot any red flags??
Fabrication and impersonating a person to manipulate the feelings and actions of Renae, surely there has to be a crime somewhere there. Poor Renae and her family. What is there to stop someone else doing this again. The police should have put a hold on the messages on Renae's phone, Even just as a precaution.
Exactly!! There has to be a crime somehow!! A person died due to the manipulation and deception at the hands of another! She held vital information and possibly could have stopped this tragedy from happening but didn't!! Justice for Renae!!
I had something similar but they were inpersonating at poltegeist at work, colleagues scared me at work, but of course I didnt know it was them because the way they did it was so clever. I got clever as time got on and found 2 of them on CCTV doing their stuff and they got told off. I also took my boyfriend to my hotel where I worked, and the women didnt know it was my bf and he caught them at it, writing psychological notes on the computer and it stopped after that
Wow! With a friend like that who needs enemies?! I hope she feels guilty for her entire life. edit-She did break the law...ALL the laws of being a good friend & decent human being.
No way will she ever feel guilty. Psychopaths can’t feel guilt (or remorse or empathy). No conscience. She belongs in prison for life. It’s disgusting that she gets to live her life freely.
@@andrewg2618 hmmmm.... No it's not all females. But in Renae's defence, she was being won over by someone who she thought was real because Camilla knew exactly what to say cos she knew her so well. It would have been exactly the same circumstances if the pretend man was in another country with another excuse made of why he couldn't talk to her. Camilla is an evil thing. And she knew exactly what she was doing.
I’ve had my best friend for 36 years. I couldn’t imagine hurting her in any way, shape or form. The thought of this woman deliberately hurting her ‘best friend” just blows my mind. I’m sad for Renee, so many red flags that maybe she genuinely didn’t see, but I get when someone is so persistent like that it’s east not to see them. RIL Renee xx and my heartfelt condolences to her loved ones left behind xxx
Me n best friend which I thought been friends for almost 30 yrs, a guy that I was dating online she took an interest in and called me a month ago to ask me if it’s ok to start dating him👀 I dropped her immediately
Heartbreaking. We need to learn how to not need any kind of love that brings harm. Solitude is stigmatized, romantic love pathologized which leaves us vulnerable to predators.
I believe there was a security camera that captured her climbing over the fence, and looking over the edge, then moving away from the edge looking scared. Then inching towards the edge slowly, crouching down. Until she can't be seen anymore. It is assumed she then fell. This is according to the account told on Mr Ballens channel. So unsure where he got his info.
@@jodypascoe5812 I first heard about this from MrBallen too. And yes, he mentions the security footage in some detail. I believe he puts references on each of his stories so listeners can check facts.
I would hound her relentlessly. Put signs up everywhere she goes, make midnight calls, follow her - she would have no choice but to move. But your law is so ridiculous that YOU would be charged. Make sure her kids find out.😡
Who in the right mind would .agree to marry someone you havent met and plan a wedding and a honeymoon? I am sure someone must be thinking this but no one is voicing it out.
That girl is a lunatic to do such a thing. I would say I hope she feels remorse, but she probably is incapable of that feeling. My condolences to the family and friends.
Her parents are stronger than I could ever be here. I could not stand to see "this person" in a local supermarket. I truly hope the KARMA of justice will visit "this person" and do what the police could not
Our police could not unlock a phone that a 14 year old unlocked from an app ???? And all text messages had been deleted ??? How come in every investigation I watch from any other country the police can recover any and all deleted messages ? Our police haven't heard of computers and apps ? Wow what a tragic story for everyone .
It's not that simple and what they are saying is technically unlikely. It depends on the phone and degree of security adopted by the user. It's the same all over the world. I suspect in this case things are not quite as it seems and may have been simplified for dramatic effect or misunderstood by the producers.
It depends on the determination of the police imo. All over the world other Law enforcement officers manage to do it. It was a huge part of the Jody Arias case 14 yrs ago so yes, it was possible at the time of Renee's death.
First red flag, the 24 year old boy is in prison for manslaughter. The parents never spoke negative, about the fact that their daughter was consuming her precious time, texting with a inmate, day in, and day out. I read this comment a lot down below. Teach our kids the right and wrong way of how to be treated by others. My strong 17 yr old daughter, is a leader. She will be the first to tell a person, this isn't right. I feel Camilla should be punished. May her conscience, eat her alive. My thoughts and sympathy go out to the friends and family.
I'm from the US so I don't know about Australian law but can the family sue Camilla for wrongful death and make her pay through the nose for the rest of her life? At least that's something...
I have nothing kind to say about the lack of parenting, poor friendships, justice system and the lack of mental health issues that were overlooked. Renee must have felt despair for a while before he broke up with her, which was the last straw. What an evil friend.
Sorry but I don't understand how you can have a relationship with someone you have never met and why did Rennae not confide in her mum since they were so close. Very very 😔 sad.
How do u have a relationship with someone who is clearly in love with someone else. If he hasn't moved in with you yet and you have not spent one whole evening together...you are just dumb
Life’s a full circle I strongly believe. Camilla won’t get away with it forever. The Marsdens will be vindicated. Imagine if the something similar happened to one of Camilla’s kids when they grow up, she’ll then know how it really feels to lose a child! RIP Renae ❤
karma absolutely rules and always provides its own form to all of us! Camilla will not be exempt but more than likely come out worse than the souls she harmed 💯
How sad and sick what a so called friend did to Renae, has anyone thought she may have been literally pushed obviously what Camilla did pushed her over to take her own life R.I.P Renae you had so much to live for.
That's taking it too far to go with the "literal' take. All evidence shows she took her own life. However you're completely correct that Camilla did push her over the edge figuratively with her actions and deserves to be in prison. What's not mentioned in this doc (unless I missed it) was that Camillas family is rich and well connected to politicians. That's why she got off easily in my view.
@@alexf9381 it’s not too far fetched to wonder if she literally pushed her! If you’re a true crime fan then you’d know that’s possible and it happens. As far as this episode goes, they didn’t mention that they even looked into it or ruled it out. I thought it was odd that it wasn’t even brought up.
@@alexf9381 it’s not too far fetched that Camilla met her there and sent the text from Ranae’s phone herself before chucking it in the water with her. Actually It’s pretty common for killers to use their victims phone and pretend to be them.
The fact that the cops didn’t immediately flag Renae’s phone is so negligent on their part. Like CLEARLY cellphone data was important in this case from day one.
The fact that the mastermind behind this case is not brought to justice really breaks my heart, let alone the family who has suffered so much from losing a daughter. Not only that Camilla is not charged with anything, but she goes on with her life, get married and lives happily...really bizarre!!
Bitch deserves life behind bars! Karma is a bitch. she is cruel. She has no sympathy...and she never forgets... Although catfishing may not be illegal, fraud, harassment and pushing someone to kill themselves IS illegal. Without this cows interference, Renee would be alive today...if this were Canada, that bitch would be behind bars
did anyone question the fact he said he had a mobile phone in jail ? maybe not the young girl ,but surely the parents would have ?? just way to many red flags for anyone to not question what the hell was going on here .such a sad ending. camila mustve been a very very jealous person
Its not unusual. I knew someone with one. Money talks or you have access to plenty of commissary to get/use someone elses. They can sell for retail street value on the inside. So a run of the mill cell can be over 1k in prison. Its very common.
Absolutely tragic story. I find it amazing that the police acted immediately without any reason to suspect anything untoward had happened other than she just hadn’t come home from dinner (the text wasn’t that unusual). I know children that haven’t returned home in less time than this adult and the police did nothing for hours. I know of adults that haven’t returned home for days under similar circumstances and the police never did anything more than take a missing persons report.
It would have been a Concern for Welfare job, not a MP, due to intel that she had made threats of self-harm, hence the urgency by police to locate her.
@@DevonRexLady I think you missed the part where I said I know of cases with similar circumstances. Renee did not threaten to kill herself. Someone else said she did. Renee actually denied that she was suicidal
Adults have a right to disappear if they want. Thats why missing adults are not a rush unless someone shows reason. Such as blood somewhere it shouldnt be, threats, not taking purses, phones etc.
I strongly feel that there should be a law in place for an individual who is be posing as a Catfish be charged as a serious offence . There are too many victims who have suffered either mentally, emotionally and physically ! I am deeply sorry for the family and the victims !
I can imagine exactly what she’d do to her husband if another woman was interested in him or if she thought he was cheating. She’d probably stalk another person, say, When her children gets a partner and she doesn’t like them or whatever it may be because she’s gotten away with this crime. It’s a guarantee that she’ll do the same thing again, they always do
Could you imagine having Camilla for a mother?!! She's truly twisted. Since when are we physically abused by our girlfriends? Renae was very vulnerable.
How heartbreaking 😢. Rene had an amazing loving family, boyfriend, friends, and Camilla stole everything from her and them. She deserved prison for life 🤬. RIP Rene 💔
What a damn sad sick society we all live in. This shows results of what happens and can't be charged or so far changed for the criminal.. My sympathy goes out to her parents keep strong loved ones .. We in our family have had two heartbreaking suicides similar behaviour to this....
It strikes me as a great failure of the educational system but also of Renae's parents not to have installed a bs detector in her mind. This is something that must be taught by the educational system including parents: How do you cross-check and verify claims? How do you detect fakery? How do you uncover bs stories? Mastering these skills is much more important today than at any time in the past because of the insane amount of bs, fakery, spam, scam and other garbage that reaches all users of the internet on a daily basis. Basically those are research skills and the ability to think independently and thus see what's actually going on. And in terms of the internet the only acceptable attitude is to mistrust anything that comes from there and mistrust with extreme prejudice anything you cannot verify. Given Renea's naivety her parents should have assisted her in those skills. I am astonished that her parents didn't get very suspicious about the fb messages they were apparently receiving from Braydon and the kind of messages he wrote. Instead of pulling away, her mum could have dug a bit deeper even without telling her daughter about her research work into this story. Apart from verifying Braydon's photo her parents knew where Braydon was supposedly imprisoned and for what reason. One short call to the prison authorities telling them that they were getting disturbing fb messages from an inmate named Braydon would have blown this story wide open. Add to that the fact that the wider Marsden family knew about nutty Camila and the fact that she told bs stories it would have been not so difficult to put two and two together.
It’s bizarre that they weren’t able to get a warrant to crack Rene’s phone. There may have been criminal texts such as the horrible cow Camila suggesting she kill herself. Crazy that such a disgusting individual is allowed to get on with her life when she caused the death of another person
Also, to all the younger women out there. Don't mess around with bad boys that give you the feels/tingles/drama. You can spot a bad boy a mile away, well I can, as a guy, seems women are incapable of it.
@@pinrod1 They want to be the one to fix him and be the difference. It's a lost cause. Then they let themselves be trapped with kids usually. It's retarded, but a story as old as time.

The police not being able to unlock the phone is incredible. It was the same in the missing backpacker Theo Hayez case. Well, this time they got lucky with the kid knowing about an app to get into it. Maybe our police need to bring themselves up to date with this type of technology?
@@jacwindsor5552 I think it might have something to do with the law. They just aren't allowed to do it unless there is proof of a crime. From the little reading I did today, I think the rules have changed slightly.
I’m glad they showed Camilla’s face for all to see what a con she is. May karma bite her in the back side…this family deserves some kind of justice. What a Beautimous young lady Ranae was!
I live in Greece and we have lows against catfishining also now police have a department about such crimes and the mobile phones can reveal the messages in the cloud!
