Renaissance Drama: Webster's "The Duchess of Malfi"--with a focus on the Duchess, Bosola, and Topics 

English 46A: This is my video-lecture to continue our engagement with John Webster's tragedy "The Duchess of Malfi." I devote time to the structure of the play, to the odd character of Bosola (malcontent, scoundrel, avenger), and to one of the toughest.characters I know: the duchess herself. I also spend time on chasing a topic, scratching that critical itch, even as I suggest topics ranging from the extreme theatricality of the play to the puzzle of Bosola himself.
