People travel to Southern California for many reasons, but have you considered traveling & checking out the original Renaissance pleasure fair as one of them? They had food, entertainment , shopping for the whole family to enjoy. Check out last years video to see more of the market place but this year we wanted to focus on FOOD! Tips on when to avoid the line for food, our favorite picks for food, and of corse where to find certain snacks that are spread out!

Ren faires are a blast, keeping in character and taking it all in challenge accepted. Pennsic War for me was the Superbowl of medieval faires. Similar vibe 'just different time period in comparison to Ren faires. Everyone present seemd to have an amazing time. Hazah for the Fay Folk! 🧚Yar for the pirate party!☠️🙂

Great overall sample of the ren faire experience (food IS essential for any of these). Turkey legs are the best part of any fair (ren faire, state fair, etc), and it's necessary to have all of the dietary choices to be successful. Looks like y'all had a lot of fun. PS for Chrissy 🖖LLAP

This is such a fun video and seems like no-one had a good time lol. All the food looks soooo good! Props to you for eating that turkey leg like that, would love to have one at the faire one day. Love the new boots, they are perfect for all your pirate cosplays you do and many more I am sure. Love how Jim's beard braids turned out and wish my beard was long enough to do that some day. Yeah I think ye faired as well as I would at pirate trivia lol 🏴‍☠🦜 Definitely gives me more reason to make it to a ren faire someday soon.

Yes, no fun was had. lol The food was really great I am glad we had the opportunity to do a video about the food! I never really do deep dives on food so this just felt right lol. I was happy Jim wanted to do something fun for himself and be on camera! Yes I want to travel to other Faires as well just to try out other ones!

Wait, you only get inside if you behave? Dare, how did you ever get in?! 😜 All the food really looks good! 🤤 NGL, seeing Dare eating straight from the bone has given me a whole new respect for her 😂 Both groups really looked awesome, both the fairies and pirates 😁 P.S. I wouldn't have done better with the pirate trivia 😅

I am curious is there Ice Cream there? The winter fairy was great especially watching you make the outfit yourself, yet Captian Pirate Misty is the best. Best beard goes to Jim. Looks like a ton of fun

I don't watch all the dare vids cause im a guy, but Ren Faire??? Yeah, def gonna watch this. It was kinda short, and it would be fun to see other people's awesome costumes. I havent been to a Ren Faire so it would be nice to see more

yeah, you'd think that a themed thing would have more theme-relevant stuff [even just in the weave of the faire show]; i agree. ... and, i'm told, the only pirate you need to know is Rotten Bonny or whoever. 😁

I think the themes are just for dressing up and fun... as opposed to putting together a bunch of new shows/ events/ ect. I think it's more for getting people to dress up, and come to the faire multiple times. (i think.... don't quote me on that lol)

This is not Renaissance food? That is just festival food. The Texas Renaissance fair has legit food. Amazing Jerky, it is a massive piece the last time I was there as well.
