OMG, I will cry!! Finally:") .... I LOVE YOU. I was struggling for 2 weeks. I saw a lot of videos, but no one explained it like you did. THANK YOU, AND I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR EFFORTS.

This is going to save my so much time at work! I have to rename about 3,000 images to our internal part number from our suppliers part number, so this is exactly what I needed. Thank you for breaking it down!

I really like PowerRename. I use it to change the names of files to some simple names with ordering prefixes or suffixes. For other data (serial numbers, event, date, people, descriptive commentaries), I use the various properties of the files. Many ot them accept at least 32 ko of data. We can select many files and include in each of them the same data in various properties by typing the desired information in each relevant property. Then, we can use the Explorer windows to search, find, and selected particular files with the search field. If necessary, we can also open a column for each relevant property (several dozens) and visually inspect them one by one, from A to Z.

There is allready an identical video about this method that is more straight forward. However I think this very simple put. You should conclude the video with SINGLE formula that creates the rename command. So you only have one column for the input, one for the target name and one column for the rename command. This will be much more usable for your audience.

This is good, but it can be simplified by using a simple Concatenate function or combination in a single cell - you then don't need all the intermediate columns E through I... use ="ren "&CHAR(34)&A2&CHAR(34)&" "&CHAR(34)&D2&CHAR(34) in cell J2 to get the same effect to generate the code...

Are we back in the XVII century. My God makes Microsoft thing difficult sometimes. Not strange that people go more and more to apple. Renaming files and having to enter the Dos Console.....🤦‍♂

I don't think you have even seen the video or understand what issue this video resolved. You can not do this on MAC without using any third party app. Sometimes we can just keep this MAC arrogance to ourselves.
