Quite challenging to give that rusty look. I would prefer to build it as an original look, but all my support if you do it. Next step would be a diorama to place destroyed car.
That's what I thought too👍. It's like a cross between a Morris Minor and a VW beetle😁nice there's an engine and bay and would a 911 turbo engine fit in it🤔🤣Pete 😎
Haha! Probably a Beetle engine... It actually shares some VW knowledge as apparently the Renault plant was taken over by the Nazis during occupation and the first 4CV was painted in yellow used by the Afrika Korps!
Haha, FANTASTIC boxart and 'made in France'. Great stuff. Did you receive that present on the 1st of April ? Whatever you make of it, you can't go wrong !
@@thescalemodelcarguychannel8681 I had a similar conversation with Spencer about AMT - I've never seen those kits for sale here but they pop up on eBay occasionally.
Hi Thomas, interesting kit, as always enjoyed the background you provide, look forward to seeing your take on "ageing" this one...I have had good results with lightly sponging rusty tones to create surface patina etc. Try making your own washes as well. You could also try mixing a lighter tone of the body colour to create sun fading. Try matt clear on the windows? I went to town using these techniques on a Citroen H van, and worked out great. Good luck!
Thanks a lot Paul. Those are some good tips! I was thinking about doing something to the windows and maybe masking where the wipers would have worked. Maybe Matt clear or possibly Tamiya smoke?
