The car has a Tour De Corse Camsahft and larger Intercooler with modern fuel injection fitted to replace the original mechanical unit. This is controlled through a Haltech computer. Mods good for about 210HP.
I watched your vid hoping you caught the spin that 911 had at turn 9 - must have been in a different session though. The comment you make at the start about the 'M3'- I think it's actually a 1M, but I swear it was wearing 135i badges on the day - it was certainly quick ! I had the idea your R5 would be quick given how well your tow car went on the way down there. Thanks for posting !
"Keyboard race driver mode-on" Several opportunities to pass the Porsche on corner entries (I`m surprised he didnt cook his brakes), noticed you braking a bit too early quite a few times too, it would have put you on the outside lane at exit to block him. "Keyboard race driver mode-off" BUT it`s your car, you`re the one out there doing the grunt work, and I`m sure theres a reason you drove the way you did, maybe the rules prevented it etc (Much like many race rules favors the more expensive and powerful cars) So I say well-driven and you sure gave that Porsche a run for its money!
These things are noturious for the rear letting go and they can't be caught easily. Brilliant bit of driving, very smooth. And worth a pretty penny now too, so why get up the inside of an amateur and risk it all?
