Hej seaside. Fed kanal og god info omkring den bette clio. Har lige selv anskaffet mig en 🥳 Skal snart have en på plader hvis jeg nu kan få den til at gå ordentligt i motoren 😅

The numbered plaque is unique to the GP but the radio remote was available on mid to high spec UK cars including the 16v. The Vagas alloys were also available on the phase 2 16v. It's a Shane that the facelift brought in the airbag steering wheel as the early cars had a design closer to that of the GTT.

Congratulations on the MOT pass. A comparison video with the R5 GTT would be great. I remember there being a magazine comparison between a GTT sand a 16v back in the early 90s. The Clio was not only a step up in refinement over the R5 but set the benchmark for the class throughout the 1990's. I'm really pleased to see this update now I'm taking some time to relax after returning from a 1300km euro road trip over 36hrs in my Mégane Coupe.

Its really a great gti from the 90´s .... and I have tried many of them after all! :) I will try to make a comparison when the summer comes... :) Sounds like a nice trip!

@@SeasideGarage That would be a great video to look forward to. Yes the trip was good. I took the car back to where it was built in Belgium for the 25th anniversary of the factory closure. The car was featured on the news there too.

Thanks for the video and showing nice features of clio. Ha! I can relate to the long distance driving my 240 ;). It's slow, noisy and fuel economy is quite terrible ;). Yes. Still a lot to adress on this one. But it's a longer process :). That's why for longer distances I choose my Astra. Seem like a luxury sedan, comparing those two 🤣

I agree with the bonkers description of the Renault 5, never had the turbo but had one of the first generation 5TS cars and bonkers fits very well. Not many other cars you could lift a rear wheel quite easily when cornering and the 1.4 engine was similar to the Clio, it pulled allied the way to red line in fourth gear as they hadn’t invented the five speed gearbox then.

Yeah, that's the fun of small underpowered cars, you can drive them to their limits and (usually) do so legally, cos they just can't get up to the speeds of all the powerful cars that you can't push to their own limits (legally!!!) on the road... :D
