Rendering a stereoscopic 360 animation with Blender EEVEE 

Wow so great have been waiting for a 360 EEVEE solution from the second I understood what EEVEE could do...and now I begin a long enslavement to a project that has been in my head for years 😱

For those having trouble, make sure you're using blender 2.8 or 2.9.. Might need to install the alternative py script to get it to show up(on 2.9 anyway).. But when using I got errors with the 'simplify' menu.. It used my camera in 2.8(when I tried with 3.x it created a camera for some reason).. Set the camera to perspective, FOV instead of mm, and set that to 90 degrees. This setup finally led to a successful render and it worked for both 180 and 360.. If you have seams you might be using a screen space effect like bloom.. instead of bloom you can use glare in the compositor..

Thanks for the info. I prefer a six camera stereo rig when setting up stereo 360 animations with EEVEE. I found this add-on to be way too slow when rendering scenes with heavy textures. Nice tutorial though.

Its a good solution, so bad its not possible to use Ambient Occlusion nor Screen Space Reflections/Refractions. with this mode. :( But anyway, its a life saver for quick VR

I try deleting just the extension txt to leave just py extension but did not work, going to the testing tab and searching for eeVR nothing comes up, I am using Blender 2.93.1, What am I doing wrong? 🙄

I just can't make it render 180 videos, only 360 (which look great) does anybody know the specific settings for that 180?

Hi great video, when I try to save the eeVR going to RAW as you say, I do not have the option to save it as py script, I just have the option for as text, and in that way Blender does not reconize the script, somebody help please, thanks in advance for any answer.👍

what if my frames start at 20?

The eevr file downloads as a txt file and NOT a PY file. So it's not even showing up as an option in the addons tab. Ugh.
