Till today, the media has portrayed Ameesha as wrong and stubborn when it came to the relationship with her parents. But after this interview, I can see how controlling and least supportive her mother is. Feeling sad about this graceful women, she not just deserved more movies which Bollywood didn't offer her due to bad politics but she also deserved great supportive parents she would have done wonders. And she has been equally unlucky when it came to her love life! She's almost 50.. I wish she get a great partner and i hope she get the immense opportunities after gadar 2. She deserve it all.

Amisha was introduced the same year as Kareena Kapoor and both kareena’s Film “refugee”, and amisha’s “Kahi na pyaar hai “, released at the same time. Kano na Yaar hai went on to become a blockbuster and refugee a total dud, and almost certainly both Kareena and Abhishek were written off. Later the nepotism leader Karan Johar came to the rescue of Kareena and gave her the important role of poo in Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Guam and reunited Hrithik and Kareena, he never offered or validated Amisha’s talent ever, and like how he showcases star kids like alia Bhatt and does broker job of uniting them together he did the same back then, therefore leaving Amisha to choose from the fewer roles offered by other directors, and not being the part of the inner circle ruined her career. She had all the makings of a great heroine and could act appropriately unlike alia, who is heavily advertised and groomed and recommended to everybody by Karan Johar. I think From the day Karan Johar started his career in Bollywood he caged al, the star kids together and groomed them, been a pimp for their relationships and recommended them to fellow friends like Aditya Chopra and heavily advertised about their non existing talent to the ever growing paparazzi culture. There by side lining great actors like gracy Singh, amrita rao, Amisha Patel, and many others going obscure. Kareena and Kajol are the only heroines who are good actors in the pool of filth that Karan produced.

I really feel so sorry for Ameesha Patel a very well educated girl who had 1st class honours in Economics as well as background in Bio-Genetics. She was also one of the few actress who had 3 films that where all time blockbusters as well as some of highest earnings (Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, Gadar and Humraaz). She even openly spoke about nepotism in the industry and mentioned that only a few like Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Hritik Roshan and Akshay Khanna where very humble, down to earth and remained very good friends with her. It’s unfortunate that her downfall was caused due to her parents taking control of her entire assets and investing all of them into already falling ventures under her name. So if any thing where to go wrong with the ventures that would have meant Ameesha would be solely responsible. That would have left Ameesha in crores of debt as well as even landing her in trouble with the law. In a way I think it was a way for her parents to get back at her for joining the film industry rather than taking up a career in finance or bio-genetics. I remember reading when Ameesha cut off all ties from her Mother and Father after finding out the entire fiasco her Mother said very openly “I hope her films flop” as though it was a curse/Nazar from the bottom of her heart. I suppose it was written in her destiny to land up like this. I do wish if she had the chance to redo her life I think she should have taken her assets and not given them to her parents. To add fuel to fire I really don’t think her on and off relationship with Vikram Bhatt really helped anything I think she should have cut all ties with him the moment they broke up.

Just went on a simi garewal marathon , and after Sushant Singh Rajput's demise, I realise that nothing has changed in years ! I don't mind actor's kids wanting to pursue acting, provided that the so called 'outsiders' also get equal chances and opportunities , because Bollywood is for everyone, not just a couple of people who call the shots and act like they own it !

Thank you for this interview for showing the right side of Amisha Patel, which these partial & fake journalists never showed. She was shown as a bimbo and rich spoilt brat. I mean by looking at this interview it just shows she is a very strong individual who is above her family money, education & success. Unfortunately that’s what happens many times when a strong individual stands up for themselves the bully’s group together to bring you down. Exactly what happened when she became a star and after few flops she was not given good roles cause as mentioned by her in the interview there are groups in bullying Bollywood who do not allow outsiders to enter easily ( and we all know which group she is talking about) If she was given proper chance like how Kareena got even after so many flops from Karan & Yash Chopra gang she would have also been a successful actress. Amisha is still one of my favorite actress. Sad what happened to her in Bollywood but I think her parents should have let her live her dreams. Sometimes it is the parents that put their child in the insecurity zone by questioning their dreams. Parents should respect that children have their own life journey and souljourney. Parents should stop to put their children in golden cages in the name of love. It is sonetimes the fear and limiting beliefs of parents that become curse for their children. If she is not getting support from home and industry is making her life difficult because she is decent and not sleeping around ofcourse she will end up as alcoholist and stressed.
