Yeah bro one of my favorite produced songs all her stuff is fire pure god give talent and her stuff with the Isley brothers in the late 80s was great also
@@MrCoolkeith1983 yeah she produced the Isley Brothers albums in the mid to late 80s until R.Kelly took over production for the Isleys. She is a very talented producer.
We often forget how truly global 80s r&b was. I’m from the UK and I’ve been in clubs and bars in Paris, London, Liverpool, Amsterdam, Munich, Sofia, Barcelona, Helsinki and more and this tune right here.... This tune would fill the floor ANYWHERE!! This comes from a time when there were ‘0’ selfie sticks, people dressed up proper, and the dance floor was filled with people totally wildin’ out! No wonder 80s r&b has stood the test of time. One love !
DAMN I WAS 12YRS OLD GROWING UP IN THE SOUTH BRONX WHEN THIS JAM DROPPED.. DAMN I MISS THE 80'S AND 70'S.. DAMN... GREAT MUSIC AND REAL HIP HOP BACK THEN..
Sean I bet that was an absolute amazing experience. Genuinely jealous you got to grow up in such a musical historical important place at the height of it's Fame. I can't imagine the memories you must have. Day in day out I wish I was alive to see hip hop and rap start like it did. Back when funk was still cool. Truly there will never be a more creative and artistic time in music like there was in those decades. The best music ever made period. No one can change my mind.
Very first times I heard this jam I was reminded of a futuristic George Clinton kind of a sound. LOL ! This is a timeless funk classic. The whole debut album of Rene and Angela sounds like a greatest hits collection by itself!
They have been sampled and used so much. I just hope they got compensated for their genius. I have been listening to them for decades. Never gets tired. I’m always fired up by these 2!
"Lemme show you how to live, stop goin from town to town, doont be afraid to give, time to settle down when Im good Im bad, when Im bad Im better, when Im at my best there's no room to guess" I love Angela Wimbush...
Hyper drive, no new song could challenge this ,like being sucked through a black hole in hyperspace..and never comin back,,that bass wow wow wow...keep it going...oh my god superb..!1
I appreciate my uncle sooooo much for introducing me to the music of the 80’s. As a child of the 90’s it was all about rap and pop but this right here is pure brilliance. As a skating rink junkie this music is absolutely necessary 😂
Always heard this was one of Michael Jackson's own personal favorite jams. I can well believe that! His influence is ALL OVER this classic funk and Rene did a number of music projects with him. The synthesizer on this from another galaxy!
Did you know Rene and Angela had that funky baseline because they both play the mighty Moog Synthesizer. The synthesizer was new technology back in the 80's. Holler class of 82!😎
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was the jam, an upbeat song that made you wanna POP! There's not too many producers like Angela Winbush and Rene, who knew how to keep a beat in the pocket! Like riding on a smooth sail...
Heard this on Soul Sauce-Richard Searling Radio show on sunday nights in 1985! It hit me like the SOS Bands 'Just be good to me'! Greetings from UK to US Soul legends of the 1980's.!! ;-)
On the edge of the dance floor, grown-folk "Freakin" with no "shame in their game". At the center, skirts flying, men gliding, footwork abiding in "Salsa", "Hustle" and old school "Hand Dancing"; and all the while, "Centipede and Galaga", being played in the background. Good vibes, good energy, great memories...
2019 and still jamming to this bad ass song. Old school was lit for me growing up!! Closing my eyes, dancing like no one was watching, and making my own moves. My best times were dancing on lunch tables in summer school back in Cali.I felt every single beat, and now I'm 49 now a lil rusty..lol
