I will never get over the fact that we were in musicals together as children. Like we were in ensemble together and now she’s on broadway (whenever it opens lol) it’s just wild to me.
Sophia Redwood I mean back then it was just a normal thing. We all knew she was talented as heck but I for one never fully expected her to go on broadway. And of course I spoke to her lol. I was in 2 shows with her and she ran in the same crowd as my sister for a few years. I do remember in recent years realizing that she could legit make it and being extremely proud of her once she did. I doubt she knows who I am but there’s a good chance she remembers my sister.
Renee: *Does something insanely well and sounds generally incredible* Hannah: “oh my god guys that’s so hard to do and do well” Also Hannah: *perfectly riffs and Renee Rapps it and looks killer doing it* Me: •__•
She sings it almost messier than taylor louderman does... like it feels more raw... which I really like for the character considering its sort of a psycho 17 year old
I’d just like to point out how absolutely amazing Hannah looks amazingly fabulous in every single video she gives us. Like, she takes the time to wake up early, (she’s said that she was filming these at like 7am in prior videos) look nice, and set up her camera to react to these and give advice while also singing herself. Queen.
I’m just happy you decided to take the leap during quarantine and grace us with your beautiful channel and awesome advice and sunny atitude. You truly light up my day when you post, and I’m sure it’s the same for all of your other subscribers. I’m glad my comment brought a smile to your face :)
I would like to see you do a comparison between Renee Rapp and Taylor Louderman as Regina George. Not to have a winner or anything, but like comparing their strengths and weaknesses ya know?
i literally feel so many emotions towards renee rapp, i did a zoom with her in july and she is literally so freaking amazing. it makes me sad when i think about how i will likely never get to talk to her again and she has no idea who i am tho :( haha
Yes. I noticed the sudden drop from her head voice to her chest voice and how easy she made the transition. As Hannah said, Renee is an amazing singer- we love her ❤️✨
this is the first time I'm ever watching renee rapp sing anything and i'm not gonna lie, she hit that high note on the second "til someone gets hurt" after the first initial chorus and I CRIED
last year i was in the mean girls musical in high school, and i played Regina George, and i was so proud of myself when i hit those low notes but especially the high ones.
Renee is so sweet in person and amazingly talented live and in person. I was lucky enough to meet her and see her perform at 54 Below. And she’s also my best friends cousin!!!
This is honestly one of my favorite live theatre performances, I'm glad you covered it! I would love it if you could check out Alex Brightman from Beetlejuice, I really love his normal singing voice and he also has really unique vocal cords (folds? Idk) that allow him to do the Beetlejuice voice without hurting himself.
Renee Rapp is amazing! I can't get over how good she is at such a young age; I think she really has the potential to become a Broadway legend. I'd love it if you could react to Anna Kendrick! I don't think you've done any videos on her before, and I'd be interested to hear what you think of her voice :)
You should react to Rachel McAdams/Molly Sandén singing "My Hometown (Húsavík)" from Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. The song is SO AMAZING, and the SPEORG NOTE like DAMN
Please react to Carrie Hope Fletcher! She's such a talented actress, and sings so well. I got to see her live in Heathers in the West End, and she was amazing as Veronica.
Can I just take a second to THANK YOU?? 💜💜 I’ve been singing on my own for two years, but going back and seeing your reactions to singers and all of the little knowledge nuggets you drop have really changed my view on so much! I’ve learned so so much about developing my mix thanks to you! You’re amazing 😭💜 and I wouldn’t be where I am without you!
you should react to lindsay mendez singing "the ballad of sara berry"!!! starts off pretty low and has an awesome high belt towards the end! plus the story is so cool ahaha
i love these performances by these artists but they're even more special when i get to see your excited reactions to them! i find myself rewatching the videos, but i come back to rewatch your reactions too because they hit different through your appreciative eye. love your work!!
You are honestly so inspiering and you deserve all the love!!! Don't let ppl hurt you. Don't be so mean to yourself. You are wonderful, amazing, kind, beautiful... ily💜 🎶till someone gets hurt🎶
Hello Coach Thanks for the reaction ;) New subscriber. Please react to a Filipino girl group sings "The Greatest Showman - Never Enough | 4TH IMPACT" Tnx.
Ah I remember the first video I ever saw of yours was you reacting to Renee singing world burn. Your channel has grown so much, it’s a pleasure to see !
These Broadwaycom sessions sre always good and are often the best performed and recorded recital style performances of a singer/song available on youtube and this one is very good. It's early, though, and she hadn't quite fully reconciled Louderman's take with her own style. There are ekements of Louderman's (brilliant and Tony nominated) Regina pout and accent that are perfect for Taylor but not optimal for Renee's powerhouse voice and physicality. (All Louderman characters have their own very distinct accents -- it's cool) This is a great oerfirmance, though -- boy is that lascivious look up and down on "why do you even wear a shirt good! However, as good as the Broadwaycom session is (we are talking gold versus platinum) the best available performance is this one where she goes full Renee and just lets it rip as a Shirley Bassey James Bond song: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vpk6T3vScxA.html There are two videos of that nightclub performance. Like the Broadwaycom studio session it is also early (her public debut doing that song) but the band and more spacious live environment encouraged a slightly more brassy, and thus personal, interpretation that is closer to where she ended up as Regina on stage. Both available vids of that show are excellent.
Since you credit Renee for really getting your channel started perhaps you could react to her debut single Tattoos and her debut EP Everything to Everyone??
i constantly go down a renee rabit hole and always end up on tyler capas youtube channel!! he has so much renee content on there and he's a super talented pianist too!!
Wonderful video as always, thank you so much! And Renee Rapp is SUCH a queen! Would love to see you react to Alex brightman singing "the whole being dead thing" or "a little bit" or Amber Gray singing "our lady of the underground" :)
