Mortal Kombat characters are generally more powerful then Street Fighter characters and have more martial arts knowledge,more so because most of the MK characters have lived for centuries and lots of them are immortal including scorpion and a Hadouken is nothing compared to a fire breathing raging demon ninja of doom

You have to remember that Shaolin Monks means 2-on-1, and that Liu Kang and Kung Lao were more or less the main protagonists at the time until it switched to Johnny Cage in Deadly Alliance. Also most of Shaolin Monks is not canon. I do prefer Street Fighter, but Scorpion takes this fight.

Yo do realize that to beat any mortal kombat story mode you have to beat every fighter to actually get the ending so saying that well in this game you beat Skorpion in the Neatherrealm while in this game you beat Skorpion who has been there for a long time doesn't change how to fight went. That's like saying Ryu should win because to get his ending in his story you have beat every fighter.

Part of me feels like we need a rematch here. Considering how MKX told the story, Scorpion lost a good chunk of his advantages that were mentioned in this fight. Who knows if they will do more rematches though.

Peter Thomas He can still teleport and has access to all of his powers, but the main thing is that he would not only be killable, but he wouldn't have his power up bonus in the Netherrealm to back him up anymore. Thus it becomes a more even fight.

Peter Thomas But what range are we talking about here? Unless if I missed a detail or two, it isn't like he can be like "I'm going to teleport us into a death chamber and then teleport out while you die!" Not to mention, that would be against his character to do such tactics. Take people to the netherealm sure, but other "Insta-kill" locations? not as much there.

Nate, regarding the whole, "You can beat Scorpion in Hell in MK: Shaolin Monks," that's not a valid argument. Because that seems more along the lines of, "You have to beat this character to progress the story," than an actual reason for "beating Scorpion in Hell." It's like saying, "Raiden is an immortal god, so he cannot die," then later you perform a Fatality on him, killing him. It just doesn't make any sense

Well they called scorpion the spirit of Vengeance well that's basically what's Ghost Rider is also Ghost Rider does the same thing with breathing freaking fire also scorpion skull under mask basically scorpion is the Mortal Kombat version of Ghost Rider how you even have the chain / Rope Dart

Well actually I messed up Ghost Rider is the spirit of Vengeance and Scorpion is the demon of vengeance demons and spirits are two different things demons are basically evil ghost that love to murder spirits on the other hand they don't really kill on purpose sometimes they do for vengeance such as Ghost Rider or for justice also scorpion does this for gain AKA killing his family's murderer and well Ghost Rider kills for justice and Vengeance but the vengeance is in a good way yes it's not good but the kill because someone did something wrong but if someone aka the f****** devil son wants to destroy the world and basically make it into his personal hell well not hell for him more like a enjoyment television show but it's real life you get the gist goodbye

Problem. Ryu can easily survive lava and lava like temperatures. I mean for Pete sake the dude had a the floor is lava match fight inside a freaking active volcanos we’re both he and his opponent took the dip more than a couple times during the match.

Btw... Scorpion is not actually immortal, just undead... Like a Dark Souls character. He's been killed by Sub-Zero and had his ass kicked by Liu Kang while in the nether... And Ryu also has beaten Akuma... You know, the guy who destroyed a f*cking island with one strike... With one punch, Ryu could crush every bone in Scorpion.

Even though the argument of Scorpion's power in the Neatherrealm having no defined limit is a flawed argument, it is worth noting that MK Shaolin Monks is not canon to the MK timeline. Raiden's defeat of Scorpion is, but Raiden has a bit more power than Ryu.

Netherrealm Studios wants to do a Mortal Kombat x Street Fighter game. They even throw the idea out to Capcom every now and then. But Capcom says no every time. Yes. Capcom will crossover with everyone, except the one we want them to.
