I didn't know about Doug's mom. My heart goes out to him and his family.

I didn't know that Doug's mom passed away. My prayers go out to him, Rob, their dad and the rest of their family.

The thing with the director of My Pet Monster AFAIK was not real, it was a gag he ended the previous review with (which was actually a review of that movie) that then segued into this episode.

Doug's mom died? That's really sad. She seemed like a nice old lady.

you know the flaw that I see in the Apple Jacks commercials is that the cereal shouldn't taste like apples but its namesake and Apple Jack whiskey is "NOT 4 Kidz"... but who wouldn't want a sugary children's cereal that was made with real alcohol?

Funny thing: the blonde girl in the Apple Jacks commercial asking why they like Apple Jacks is Julia Stiles.

Actually, he reviewd My Pet Monster before this special, and in the end, he called the producer, complaining about it...and the producer then calmly asked, why he even watched a kids movie on his own and pitied him on his job. It was a gag leading into this special, it didn't actually happen

Besides Charmxx, you guys are the best Reactors on YT. Seriously, I've not seen a reactor go so in depth to a video, bringing up all the points that need to be made while also staying truthful to the creators. And as for Doug, we're all here for him and Rob.

Alot of commercials were a huge part of my life since DVR didn't exist yet until the 2000s.

You know, I've found a new appreciation for commercials after seeing so many ads. I used to think they were the same thing. They really aren't. Ads don't have as much charm. But sometimes they do.

I had a hunch about the guy in the Micro Machines commercial, did a bit of searching, and it turns out I was right. The man in the Fed-Ex and Micro Machines commercials is none other than John Moschitta Jr, the man who held the Guinness World record of the fastest talking person up until 2018. Though, I know some people (myself included) know him best for voicing Blurr from _Transformers_

And I am so excited that you guys will eventually do The Room, it was the first review I ever saw from NC and I have been a fan ever since so I have a big soft spot for that review!

For anyone confused about Rob in a dinosaur mask, it is actually a reference to a past review. Bottom line, the joke was that, in the film, "My Pet Monster," the protagonist is magically transformed into this incredibly horrible looking monster, and is so unbelievably casual about the whole thing that it's simply, baffling. So Doug and Rob wrote that the Critic would walk outside his, "office," to ask Rob something, and when he walks out he sees Rob casually reading a comic book....but he has a velociraptor's head. Doug asks him what in the hell that is, and Rob simply states, "Oh, yeah. I'm a dinosaur." The Critic pauses for a moment, makes an, "Oh," sound, and walks back into his office. Then Rob just says, "I'm a dinosaur," to himself. And that is the joke. It sounds dumb, but quite honestly it is hilarious.

That was a great nostalgic trip with the some of the best commercials such as tic-tac-toe, chia pets, and of course crossfire.

When they showed that Applejacks commercial with the "choose wisely" scene from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, it brought me back to when I first watched that scene and asked myself: "Why is there an immortal medieval French knight speaking modern-day English, instead of, oh, say...medieval French?
