I ordered these panels from Home Depot on sale. They had to be shipped to the closest store and picked up. I got them hooked up and producing good power in no time at all. Thanks for watching, please subscribe and comment if you have questions. #ecoflow #renogy #offgrid #solarpanels #solar generator

I have two of these. One of them on a garden shed roof and at 15 degrees and when the sun was at its best it hit 370w. Now angled better for next year and it will be hitting its peak more often.

I've got the new 550w bifacial ones and wow do they put out some power. Even just laying against my garage I was seeing 500w nominally and bet if I put some work into it, I'd see close to the advertised amount. However, I simply don't know where I'm going to mount them... they are about 70lbs each. Not light.

I was looking at getting the 200W Renogy panels for my Delta Pro, but after seeing how big the difference will be. I'll get the same 320W Renogy panels. Thanks.

That's one heck of a deck! What's up man, watched so I wanted to drop a comment. There aren't many videos of these panels so thanks for making one too.

Yes we’ve been replacing some of the old deck boards. The original boards are redwood cedar and they’re on their 31st year! Due to the price of lumber we are putting back treated pine but what a lifespan that cedar has. Hate to see it go but it’s ridiculously expensive these days. I’m planning on adding 2 more of these panels 2s2p to stay under the max 150 voltage of the delta pro solar input. I’m just still torn on where I want to put the panels. On the roof is obviously optimal but I still consider my system portable at the moment and once they’re on the roof they’re there for good. Thanks for watching and commenting and thanks for making your video on these panels, that ultimately guided my decision to purchase them!

I laugh as I think I can imagine your mind first thinking ," Oh curse word, these things aren't working properly - I've been done." Then happiness. Thanks for the video, good luck with it all.

Go parallel and you won’t have as much loss with shading. Shading in series is a total killer

I plan on adding 2 more panels in parallel. I plan on adding 2 more panels in parallel. Just didn't have the wiring for parallel. I have since repositioned them to get optimal sun and it's working great. I really want them on the roof but I hate the thought of them being up there permanently. In their current position the house naturally blocks all of the evening sun from about 4pm on and i dont get full sun until about noon. I pretty much knew that going in though so im actually getting more than i was planning on.

I only have mine in series of 8 panels for each string. Currently have four strings but by the end of June we will have 7 strings of 8 panels.

Good video! Wonder if you ran your A.C unit and charged it at the same time with the solar panels it would keep up?
@cullinthemost
@cullinthemost 2 года назад
Yes, in full sun. I only get about 3 1/2 hours of full sun because of the trees but the air conditioner runs around 450-500 watts and the 2 panels provide 500-575 in good conditions so I’m typically banking 100-150 watts even while the air conditioner is running. Thanks for the question and thanks for watching. I just got my monthly comparison numbers from my thermostat. I’ll make a video in the next day or so going over the comparisons of April 21 and April 22, spoiler alert: im very pleased!!

i hope you don't throw a fit and break those solar cells , yeah i saw that phone , looks like it went through a war lol !!

Lol I’ve had this phone for about 3 years, I dropped it the third day I had it before my case came in and it broke the screen… it’s an iPhone 10 and if you replace the screen it’s no longer waterproof. I just put a screen protector over it and went on with life. It’s been submerged and caught out in many thunderstorms and hasn’t had any issues so far. I think I’m about 3 months out from getting my wife’s 11 when she upgrades. I have thrown a phone before but not this one.

I am about to buy 2 Delta Pro's and the Home smart panel to use in my home. I was planning on buying 4×370 watt panels (2 for each) but in Shop Solar Kits they told me that I should go with 200 watt panels to be safer. I am no expert but I thought the Pro's were able to handle up to 1,600 watt of solar input. How is your Pro handling those panels? Any new updates? Thanks
@cullinthemost
@cullinthemost 2 года назад
Your are correct, each delta pro can handle 1600 watts each, the only thing you have to be extremely mindful of is the VOC staying under 150 volts and the respective panel’s voltage increase in cold weather. I’m not certain of the specs of your specific panel you’re looking at but I would be inclined to think you could put 3 in series on each delta pro and still be within the proper range. Did they offer any explanation on why going with the 200 watt panels would be safer?
@alexisgueits7684
@alexisgueits7684 2 года назад
@@cullinthemost I honestly think that they didn't put too much thinking into it... because I believe that they were thinking that I was going to put 4x 370watt panels into 1 Delta Pro...
@cullinthemost
@cullinthemost 2 года назад
Probably so, I was just wondering if they gave an explanation and maybe there was some information that I didn’t know as well. Just make sure to check your voltage temperature coefficient for the coldest you think your panels will ever get while using them and use the Voc voltage for the panel you’re looking at. Just add those numbers together if they’re being wired in series and if it’s below 150v you should be good to go. Now that I think more about it, what they were probably worried about was making sure there are 2 separate strings of panels. I would check with Ecoflow directly to be certain as I haven’t researched much into connecting 2 delta pros together and I would think as long as the strings are separate and the each string is input into each delta pro there wouldn’t be an issue but I don’t know that for certain so don’t take my word for by any means. Keep me updated on what you find out bc now I’m curious. I’ll let you know as well if I come across the answer.
@cullinthemost
@cullinthemost 2 года назад
Ok so I just verified from 2 different Ecoflow moderators that the solar input of each delta pro is independent even when connected to the double voltage hub or the smart home panel. So you can max out the solar input on each but they have to be separate strings. Good to know, thanks for that question!
