I've used regular flexible panels and they always fail with time, around 6mo to a year. I'd like to see how cigs stand up against time

Which flexible solar panel do you recommend to put on the metal roof of a Ram Promaster van? I don't want to install a roof rack. I would prefer to use the adhesive to stick directly on the roof. but i'm concerned that the corrugated metal roof of the van + the heat of summer sun will eventually damage the solar panels.

No bypass diodes in Renogy flexible panels?

I watched til the end. This dude is dedicated to be kneeling the entire time. I want to do some comparison testing on a sailboat. Will probably get 3 of each panel. Boats are notorious for shading, so this will be interesting

It’s the only way he can awkwardly read the teleprompter. Dude is not cut out for being in front of the camera.

@2:22, "Bypass Diodes Across All Solar Cells". What constitutes a "Cell" on this type panel? And, how many bypass diodes does it have? Your Customer Support was not able to answer this, and finally I bought one to test it. However, we are in the weeks of winter overcast weather now. But, I was able to get part of the panel in sunlight a few times, and NO OUTPUT! Various other brand mono panels did output at this same time (flexible and rigid). If there is not a good day to test this soon, I will be returning it before I am stuck with it. Same with if there is a good test day, and this 150w CIGS does not perform much better. Please note that I installed a 200w CIGS (from another manufacturer) on my motorhome, and it works great. And, PLEASE TRAIN YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE ON YOUR NEW PRODUCTS! I have bought your other products, both through you and Dr Prepare, with great service...so, very disappointed so far.

Hello, 1. Solar Cell Type: Copper Indium Gallium Selenide (CIGS) solar cells. 2. Bypass Diodes: 18. 3. If there is no output, it may be necessary for you to contact our after-sales support team. You can start by preparing pictures of measurements of the open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current of the solar panel in good lighting conditions using a multimeter. Alternatively, could you provide us with the Case ID for your contact with us? This way, we can review the agent's specific questions and try to empower our service team further. Once again, thank you for your feedback.

This needs holes/ grommets. I dont want to permanently mount it to a surface, i want it move it as and when needed.

Renogy offer the CIGS panels with tape or pre-punched holes, though the latter is out of stock at the moment. Their CS panels include grommet holes (tape isn't an option, though I installed two of their older 175W panels on a rooftop tent using 3M VHB tape; two years in, they're still there!)

This is probably the stiffest delivery i've ever seen. The people that shot this clip must've been crying. I'm a fan of CIGS panels though, just not low production value video.

they look just like bougeRV

In fact, CIGS technology was initially developed by the US company. BougeRV, as a company based in Guangdong, China, is engaged in reselling it. Judging from Renogy's pricing and detailed explanations, it seems that Renogy is directly collaborating with American technology manufacturers
