I love option 2. They look vintage to me and would absolutely go with a rose colored marble.

💗 yes!! My heart says pink! It’s so funny, when we went to the marble yard, he said they don’t have many rose colored options 😔 but we searched around and found a few!

Full marble slabs in the shower means less grout to clean and would look incredible.

Bathroom sconces. Loved # 1. Simple and elegant. Depending on how busy the marble will be, I also loved # 2. I wasn’t a fan of 3, too much going on there for me. The prize will be the marble, all else will complement. Thanks for sharing your progress, it’s fab. 🤗

That’s such a great point! 😊💗I’m going to mock it all up and create a moodboard to see how it all comes together. I don’t want the lighting to take over, just add that extra layer of glam 💅 can’t wait to show you what we choose!!

Option 1 on the lighting, just for practicality purposes. The other options would be hard to keep clean. Loved all the options for the vanity sinks, except for the first one that gave you " a real sense of calm". The pipe was too far out and thinking you would hit your forehead or face as you bend over to wash for face. Can't wait to see the finished look, it all looks wonderful.😊😊

That rosso-tinted quartzite was super cool. It really looked like some sort of asian ink and watercolor work of art. Your plans are so well thought and you have a real knack for expressing yourself.

🥰🤗thank you!! You are so kind! That quarzite is incredible and had so many lovely hues of beige, pink, and purple. Not sure if we will choose it in the end, but as soon as I get the flooring samples, I’m running over to see how it all looks together 👀 we have a couple of other really great options too! Can’t wait to share once we place the order 😁

Sconces #1, bright fresh! Lighting for me in the bathroom is important, putting makeup on, or the little details of a magnified mirror. ❤️🇨🇦My shower is the same as your plan, I love it, the glass gives an open airy feeling to the room. Also in the shower, coves in the wall for shampoo and body wash and some kind of step for shaving legs. My builder glued marble shelves into the corner wall of the shower, not a great idea as one of them came loose and we eventually took it down.

Lighting is everything! We are also figuring out the recessed lighting placement at the moment so hope to have an update soon with finishes picked out! I really want to add a shelf in the shower for practicality so thanks so much for the suggestion 💗🤗

You have loads of great ideas. We've found practical solutions are often best. Two taps over a basin can be more difficult to balance the water temperature. We went with large drawers under the vanity only to discover we couldn't open them and reach the vanity whilst standing in front of the basin and mirror. Lesson learnt we changed it to narrower drawers on each side. The marble is stunning. Happy designing.....Maria

Thank you!! 😊 Oh my goodness! Thanks for sharing your experience! My builder is constantly guiding us as we share ideas with him and he breaks down the realness behind the decision- even though, sometimes I don’t want to hear it 🤣 he always has our best interest at heart! The bright side to being under construction for nearly a year is having a strong relationship with the workers and getting suggestions & advice before the ordering process- something we didn’t have for the 1st bathroom. A lesson we learned is that walk-in showers are not for us!! 🙅‍♀️

Thoughts on bathrooms. Bench seat in shower, large niche for products, hand held shower head, bidets. Solid slab are easier to clean and just look better in my opinion. Quartz can sometimes be backlit which creates an amazing effect. You have splendid taste so it will be wonderful. If you can put radiant heat in the floor, it is amazing in the winter. Our bathroom went from the coldest room in the house to the warmest. I also added a niche next to our toilet for magazines or a place to put your phone. It is inlayed with beautiful marble and thin gold rods to hold the magazines. I also use an ottoman in the bathroom for placing robes and that sort of thing. We are working on a bathroom right now that uses Wall and Deco products from Italy. It is wallpaper that can be sealed with an epoxy and used in a shower. Any design that you can dream up, they can do. I believe I will be the second home in the Seattle area to install this product.

We’re going to add a wall in our shower to have shelving inside lined with marble but we can’t add that to the guest bathroom 😔 I’m starting to look into more useful bathroom hardware to put in shelving, etc. Corston offers some really beautiful solutions 😉 could you share a bathroom update when you’re done? 🤓

Boy that quartzite was stunning! If you choose something like that, would you choose the more modern sconce to make the stone the star? I really liked the one from Paris, was it beaded? Such tough decisions! I don’t know how you’re going to choose ! Love that you share your process it’s really inspiring.

🥰🤗💗 that was my thought exactly: if we go with the quarzite, let that be the standout feature. I’m so torn though! Once we get the flooring samples I’ll know what we are going to do 😉 Option #2 is just fab😍 love that it looks beaded like jewelry! Our carpenter will be here this week so I can’t wait to show him our ideas and get his thoughts

I went ahh when I saw those slabs as you were walking through, then you said they stopped you in your tracks, I felt like that was a sign. They might be a little busy and overpower the other statement pieces for the room though, but I like full slab option with bench seat & large nook, #1 or 2 sconce but for me I’d take 1 but I think you’d prefer 2 knowing the overall aesthetic you love. 💖 Michelle 🇦🇺

Yes!! It was so magical seeing the quarzite slabs! But just as you said, I’m a little hesitant that it may be a little too busy for the overall calmness I want to create for the space. Decisions, decisions! Love the clean shape of option #1. It’s so funny how I’m designing this totally different than if it was for me 😂 I know that each bathroom upstairs will have a totally different direction and I enjoy the design challenge! Wait until I share the ideas for the baby’s bath 🛁 😉
