What a synchronistic video for me! I happen to be amidst a reno of sorts myself, and have been procrastinating on my paint choices. I'm already going leaning towards a more natural floor treatment in part of my house (it's made from linseeds!) and was hoping to find something in a similar ilk for the walls. I'm going to research lime wash now - thanks! Also, the room has such a lovely warmth and brightness that some of the other dark academia room makeover videos I have seen are missing, IMHO. Very clever to work in the space with your desk before committing to a change. Sometimes our space will tell us what it needs. And cheers to your incredibly dedicated and supportive father!

Just a reminder to use the sealer if it's in a high traffic area or the walls can't be washed at all.
