I can recommend WOLLERTON OLD HALL which is a David Austin English climbing rose. I've had mine for about 8 years and it flowers all summer.

'Claire Austen' is a lovely climbing rose, pale peach, has the fragrance of Myrrh and has good health. She climbs up to 12' and is repeat flowering. Maple looks as if butter wouldn't melt ❤🐾

Pierre de Ronsard is pink,tough,flowers about 6 months,is good inside in large bunches,lovely fragrance. Perfect climber but no hint of salmon colour.

I have grown William Baffin climbing roses, pale pink, old fashioned bloom l😍 I planted them bare root in early spring, grew them up the house on 4 trellises in northern Illinois and they were gorgeous. I lived in the north, so ordered them from a nursery north of me at the time. Hope this helps! 🌹

Best suggestion for a gorgeous scented apricot climbing rose = - Rosa 'Compassion'. The salmon-pink flowers of 'Compassion' are flushed with a warm apricot colour at their centre. This repeat-flowering variety has a strong, sweet fragrance and has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit.

Hi Louisa! The bathroom renovation is truly coming along, it is so help that you and Mark can work together and see the vision of the look you are wanting . Your garden is really looking wonderful , but those darn weeds! I was pulling weeds and I didn't know that I was standing on ants .my goodness they went up my pant leg and bites in seven places !! feels like a sting. The climb rose for your anniversary sounds perfect , I like David Austin roses I do have a few and they do nicely. I am wanting the Blush rambling rose however sold out ! Take care , Paula

My favourite is Cecile Brunner, King John Nursery near Burwash has it over a pergola where I take tea, and it is intoxicating. I loved it so much I bought it. Pale pink climber, repeating all summer and no problems with disease.

Rose: New Dawn

For a rose, I would recommend the historic rose, Madame Alfred Carriere. A French noisette from 1879, palest pink opening to creamy white. Wonderfully fragrant, will bloom deep into the autumn, although the heaviest display will be in June. And as a bonus, not very thorny, there are a few, but not a lot. Oh, and I forgot, generally healthy. She can blackspot, but not too terribly.

May I suggest the fabulous Eden climbing rose. Might just meet your requirements. 🌹🌹🌹

I have not got a clue what Mark is suggesting for the shower cubicle, so can quite understand why you have to ask a few times to check you are on the same page with the design! You've definately got a globe artichoke! We grown them here in San Diego. I'd suggest a Queen Elizabeth climbing, pink rose for your anniversary

I have a fabulous apricot colored climbing rose growing in full sun. It believes most of the summer and it’s called Princess Margareta - she’s gorgeous and fragrant!!

we bought Bathsheba climbing rose for our cottage from David Austin. Its a beautiful apricot / cream colour and smells amazing

Love Roses and have 16 in my garden, but do be aware most are susceptible to disease like black spot, which does not kill the rose but looks unsightly so spraying in spring with a product like roseclear may be necessary. June is the best month to go and look at roses in bloom in other gardens or garden centres.

For your shower, I feel you need to clad the wood with a metal piece that has a groove built in so the wood doesn’t rot away. If you put up tile, they make pretty decorative narrow pieces as well.

The en suite is coming together beautifully and I really love your herb garden, the globe artichoke is amazing 😊❤

Jacob‘s robe is the name of a peachy creamy rose. It is just absolutely beautiful. The tips turn peachy to a pink and it is they’re just beautiful. These roses are also pest resistant and Hardy as can be. They flower all summer along all pool long way into October and till early November here in northern California and in Oregon. It is the hardest rose I’ve ever had as far as climbers are concerned . I’m generally horrible with plants, but this rose bush has survived 20 years.

I can without a doubt tell by Maple’s expression she is not responsible for the upturning of the bulbs. It was a pesky groundhog.😉☺️❤️

My all time favourite climbing rose is Pierre de Ronsard it has so many flowers over a long period and they are great for cut flowers too although quite short but work so well in old ink bottles etc

Both you and Mark have worked so hard and sourced materials in order to achieve the bedroom and en suite bathroom you have dreamt about for so long. I have to admit I did struggle to understand when you were discussing the marble shelf! The garden has certainly come along in a very short time. Also,with regard to my obsession of the Globe Artichoke, I have bought some seeds which I have put into some compost and they are currently in my kitchen pending signs of life.If anything appears, I shall be amazed. 😂 Sophie

I love the David Austin roses , I have wollerton old hall and Rosa marigold growing on the front walls they are beautiful, and many more in different parts of the garden .
