Easy way to save yourself the command promts: 1. Create a txt file in the same folder as the RPAExtractor.exe and the archive.rpa 2. Open the textfile, paste "RPAExtractor -x archive.rpa -o extract" without quotes, save.3. Rename file into UnrarArchive.bat (make sure you can change the file suffix, if you can't, switch it in the explorer options)4. Now all you have to do is execute the bat file and it'll do the whole command promt thing for you.
Yeah, you can do that too if you want. Most people have the "hide file extensions" setting turned on so renaming something to a .bat might be a bit more confusing than opening command prompt.
You could indeed use this process to make a translation, many doki doki mods do a similar thing. Though know that renpy does allow for translations using it's own built in system. I don't remember how it works exactly but you would still have to extract the files to get started.
@@magnificentlime4555 I managed by unpacking the files with RpaExtract and creating a Translations.rpy files for the menu , while using Atom to handle the ingame text :D BTW, I'm translating Acting Lessons at the moment, but I'm planning to do others, such as Being a DIK, Dreams of Desire, Dating my Daughter, Melody and others :P
Windows 10 says it cannot open the rpa extractor on this computer. I know nothing about this sort of thing and just want to replace some text in a finished renpy visual novel.

you made a mistake the first time you put the folders except the characters in the DDLC in the Ren'Py folder. Becouse of that, the system thinks you deleted sayori.chr or Monika.chr file so it shows Sayori's early death thank me later

HI anyone, is there somebody know about saving your artwork from leaking after building distribution in renpy for Windows? It goes well for me with Mac version of the game, but for the Windows versions, it contains all my artworks and music and sfx sounds original files, and that freaking me out !!! Please HELP!!
I believe you need to change how Ren'Py Packs the RPA. Maybe give pytom a poke on discord or find a python programmer who can edit it. it should make the resulting RPA unopenable by normal means. Granted all someone would have to do then is just add a few lines to Ren'Py init telling it to copy the game files to another location.
I'm trying to do this with Katawa Shoujo to replace some of the sprites in the game and I can't figure out how to do that... Any advice? If it helps, it seems 6.10.1 works.
You unpack the existing RPA, you make your edits and you then repack the RPA. You might need to look for updated tools or use the renpy launcher itself, www.renpy.org/dl/ I know that some online stores in Jap for VN games require the VN to use a modified RPA file which cannot be unpacked using normal means, you can really only inject your own python code to copy the files to a new location on startup.

I'll try to make it a bit more like a funny stuff, but not too cringy and make Kenji appear more important. my friends told me to make it as a school shooting with Eric and Dylan fed up of being treated as disabled and when the MC heard the Pumped Up Kicks at the intercom and when he told Lilly to run, she fell down and got shot which is fucked up. but it's still a work in progress thanks to this tutorial.
my game is an adult visual novel, and its a bitch to make money in it (A value amount that lets you progress sucks to earn) and I wanna find out how to mod my save game more money cause cheat engine isnt finding the new value after each time i earn money. (It is a porn game with plot lol.) Game is called Corrupted Kingdoms.
just go to www. saveeditonline. com it has support for renpy/ RPGM etc. You just upload the save file, edit the values you wnat and on the bottom of the page there is a button to download the edited save file.
@@tux6651 first you upload your save file edit the values you want and then you download the edited file at the bottom of the page. After that replace your original save in the save folder. Ps always backup your original.
@@Cybervlachos I would edit inventory > money and change it to 99999 then Download the edited file and Replace the old one but when I load up the game there no changes ( I'm on Android btw)
@@tux6651 depending on the game you might need to change more than one variable to take effect. So far I think I had that kind of problem with only one game I played. You could try looking to the F95 forums for more info. What is the game you're playing?
do as what i say hold the win key and press r then type %appdata% then find the game which you would like to view (or backup) you may deke the persistent file to start over.
