Dawwww, Punta Sur is one of the most amazing parts of the island... you totally should have paid to see it!! It wasn't just the statues - you can actually walk along all sorts of paths cut into the cliffs edge, and even get right down close to the water where it's continually crashing against the rocks. It's absolutely breath taking (and somewhat terrifying at the same time!). Next time you guys visit, you should 100% put it on the top of your to-do list!!

Yup and as I said on the video we planned to go to the Tulum ruins based on friends recommendations, and to be honest from the top Punta Sur looks like some trails with concrete statues.

That ruin at the other end of the park that you said is not really worth it is on the cliff of the dawn, and it is the eastern most point in Mexico, and the first piece of land touched by the rising sun. It is the whole point of that park. The entire purpose of visiting that part of the island was “not really worth it“? Next time I encourage you to research where you are and try not to miss some of the most culturally significant parts. Come back and stay longer. You’ll become addicted to Isla Mujeres

We love Isla Mujeres, best place of our entire trip. I said it wasn't worth it for us, we had planned to go to the Tulum ruins which we ended up not making it to. I'm not a fan of placed statues made of concrete, that was my point.

@@SchmoopsAdventures ya cultural is cool and the old historic stuff is as well, just not a fan of added things like the statues. You don't see added things in Angkor Wat or places like that

Plus I wasn't a fan of how they charge for a camera in many of the places in Mexico, they should be happy to have people like us sharing their places of history. Just our opinion of course
