Thanks Mav, bit by bit it all came together. It took around 15-20 prints of the snowplough to get it right, thats not widen enough, wrong angle, then they broke and it went on etc etc…

Definitely determination, magnets cost £8.99 for 110 from Amazon (8p each) frame around 3p of filament. Around 22p for pair. Got to be good

Thanks Robert, the work does often take a long time to produce, and dont always have time for running, sorry. Ive been working on the viaduct this week. Started Monday, couldn’t assemble anything till Wednesday as it took for ever to print varying parts. 64 handrail sections, 10 mins each to print. Bit by bit. Lol thanks Robert

Hi Ian, I just used glycerine. The lady at Mckinley used airbrush flow improver, which is glycerine and IPA mixed. It must be an 'oily' slippery substance and gently scratch with something metal. Just dont use a cotton bud as it will leave a shiny patch, which will be very hard to hide. Ill incude a link to the video I used. Hi Mike, welcome back to the hobby. Sounds like you are already getting to grips with DCC and all it offers in sound and lighting functions. Regarding you sound: yes turn down the volume. I had the same on mine. Think it’s a zimo decoder so functions 27/28 altered the volume. If you have another brand you might have to alter a CV 163 comes to mind. Best check before though. Are you ok with altering CVs? You have a controller that will do that? I think changing the volume will make a big difference. Bachmann do often skimp on speaker quality, so if the volume change isn’t enough, give Richard a ring at Roads and Rails. He has a wide selection of speakers, will fit it too if you want). He really knows his stuff. Hoping that’s helpful

Thanks for reply, yes they do have zimo decoders in, unlike the 47's that have ESU Locksound. Unfortunately currently I only have a Bachmann EZ Command controller. Was planning to upgrade soon. But funds have been spent buying trains instead of more important things. I also struggle with technology so I'm now more comfortable with this simpler controller, but it will only go upto 10, so changing cv's for volume will have to wait. Have looked at more complicated units. Think they will overload my brain. Already changed plan for a tmd layout, now having a station because I bought some excellent weathered mk1 coaches and so enjoyed shunting them around. Perhaps a model shop or someone local to me with a more advanced controller can assist with the volume settings. And to be honest, I am now happy keeping it simple. Ps had heard good things regarding Richard, from Road and Rails. Regarding upgrading speakers etc. This could be another option. All the best John from Mike. The Newby.

Bless you Mike, yes I would recommend getting someone to change the volume, I understand where you are coming from. Richard would fit the speaker and lower the volume, along with anything else you wanted changing. If I can help you with anything though, just say.
