Come along with me while I take my sewing room from “Hot Mess” to #Aesthetic.”
This video features antique furniture, vintage books, my cat Angus, and an unreasonable amount of fabric scraps. Enjoy!
This ended up being my longest video yet, despite taking the shortest amount of time to complete the project (six days total). I’m adding chapter tags, so feel free to skip around if you want to :)

Love the ending! 🤣. Also the scroll work on the top of the furniture makes me place it quite confidently between 1890 - 1910 during le art nouveau period.

I love your enthusiasm for that piece of furniture. It's clearly landed in good hands and I'm glad it will be most thoroughly appreciated.

It seems (in some VERY brief digging) that side-by-side secretary cabinets were not exactly rare but they weren't the norm either. You usually see the cabinet part above or below the desk. I actually found another of this exact piece on Etsy. The seller didn't date it but others I found like it were dated circa 1890.

Thank you for the information! I figured it was 1890s :)

I agree and can add that custom pieces WERE a thing and this little secretary (for I do believe that's what it is) may have been comissioned for a wealthy person for his daughter or some such story. The added mirror and "headboard" are just lovely embellishments.
