That's all well and good. But, we need to halt that number for a while, to give us a chance to absorb the extreme overwhelming additional newcomers from the last 4 years. Our schools are failing completely just because of the language issues. That includes ALL of our children, not just the newcomer children. The language barriers are HUGE! These children need to be taught some level of English before being thrown into regular classrooms. And, that is only one factor in the problem of such a massive influx of people from all over the world. Go to the local Winco, and you hear dialects from all over the world. But, they all use their cellphones to communicate with the grocery clerks.
