Truth... I built a house in 07-08 and it took me nearly 10 years to recoup my investment... I then built a house in 17-18 and with the housing shortage I look to make a profit on it, but then it will cost me more to build again... Bad systems and economies don't work well together...
No... it isn't "under-production" Mike: its the 20M+ illegals shipped to the interior by DHS instead of exercising their right of return [meaning to home country]. These illegals simultaneously soak up entry level work as well as housing - damaging wages at the same time housing is impinged. So think: if we had maintained Trumps execution of laws [passed by congress], housing prices would be near flat given the birth rate if US citizens. Get those staffers up to date please.
I agree that providing subsidies won't solve the housing problem. However, if rental caps on corporate housing causes housing to be discarded, then there's an opportunity to renovate and be owned by individual homeowners, not corporations. So, I don't believe you Mr. Flood. Corporations buying up apartment complexes and then jacking up rents 2,000% causes paying tenants to be evicted and become homeless. I think you 'might' be working for the Corporations, Mr. Flood. If you're sincere in wanting to help in the housing crisis, then it's simple...KEEP CORPORATIONS FROM BUYING UP ALL THE HOUSING!
