I like Gowdy and his style, but in spite of all his hard hitting questions and righteous indignation, nothing ever changes and no one is ever prosecuted or impeached. All it amounts to is good theater.
Partisanship gets in the way of prosecutions. All that's left is theater, like you said. However, if a great case is laid out in the midst of the theater, the public can see it and judge the guilt or innocence for themselves, then vote accordingly. Staunch Democrat and Republican voters may not alter their vote, but there is a large group of Independents that could possibly be swayed one way or the other.
