Since when, we need house reps that will work with each other rather than criticize others. If she disagrees with republicans then work with them to get a better result. Same goes for republicans. We elect these people to work together not to just go on talk shows and criticize each other. She performed very badly, in essence endorsing Netanyahu when junketting in Israel. She could (should) have taken a stand against his authoritarianism, but didn't. Schiff has the nominal support of most Jewish organizations, but she would have had mine had she stood up to Netanyahu's anti-democratic policies and Israel's treatment of Palestinians. As it is, she gave up the moral high ground. Alas.

@@michaelbayer5094 It's a mix of things. I'm actually a moderate and modern republican, and I would vote for her in a heartbeat compared to what we have had for a long time. There's no intelligence in the GOP, and it generally lacks in politics. The truth is that when politics became the media circus it is today, you cater to "politicians" who are in it for the fame, fortune and power. Very few politicians are in it for the right reasons. I suspect that Mitt Romney actually had a genuine desire to do something good for his country, and so does someone like Liz Cheney. Sadly someone put an orange haired ape at the wheel of this shortbus, in 2016 and ever since it has just been downhill. Obama was bad, Trump was a disaster, Biden is incompetent and so on. There are no proper "statesmen" left because laziness and insanity rule the US at the moment. The lunatic running for GOP VP is a gun totin' bible bashing crazy lady calling a married Ukrainian president gay, the former president is at best capable of acting like a petulant child, and the rest is ruled by religious nutters and right wing extremists. Weirdly I think she would make a better VP. The President spends a lot of time waiving and pontificating but not actually doing a lot of "the work". Imagine a president with Katie Porter behind them researching, and preparing facts and figures, and actually talking to citizens. Of course we could all have confidence if she ever needs to step up to the presidential role in a tragedy. But my god how much work would she get done as VP.

Just started the book tonight, only 67 pages in and I’m already loving it. Sent my sister pics of 3 parts already even tho I’m giving her the book to read when I’m done. She’s so candid, so open and is calling people out by name. It’s so refreshing, I hope things do change like she is aiming for. We need and deserve some transparency with our government.
