I would love it if you could do a video about whether or not you can attatch the lat pulldown with a roge monster rack. Or if you could maybe do some reviews on the best lat pulldown attachments for roue monster racks. If you could that would be awesome!

We're excited about the new attachments coming soon and feel like we have one of the best offerings out there that's only going to get better. The "no stickers" design was indeed something we did on purpose and due to your feedback on other racks. Regarding manufacturing-- Most fitness equipment companies (us included), no matter where they manufacture, now use laser cutting, robotic welding, and robotic painting. That's a lot of automation. This is especially true with the production of power racks. We employ all of the people here in the USA that won't be automated away--Leadership/Strategy, Accounting, Engineering, Customer Support, Warehouse Ops, Supply Chain, etc...all here in the USA. The majority of the purchase price actually goes to support us. The flexibility to manufacture globally is what allows us to offer the best value we can for our customers, and leaves a little more money in their pockets to spend on all the protein powder they need to maximize gainz.

Hello Rep, and coop. Love the J cups, the west coast option is a must, having the J cup that coverts is genius. . does it include safeties as well for West Coast Spacing? If not, then get to it. Either way not a big deal as you can add a 1 inch spacer under your bench.

I'm surprised with some of the negative reviews. I was so impressed with the ru-vid.comUgkxMwYg0MOXR4M-oGeyBsNSYe1aPOUoRH6D cage that I got the lat pulldown attachment that goes with it. It is equally outstanding. I don't have one complaint other than putting it together is a job. The instructions and packaging of the parts are very well designed and organized. Also, I stripped and damaged the pull down cable the first day, admitting it was my stupid fault, and they quickly replaced it at no charge. I'm 6'5, 280lbs and fit in the cage just fine. Glenn B
I have been mulling over REP stuff. This new rack sealed the deal. Interchangeability is great with this thing. You can use Rogue or Sorinex accessories if you want. I don’t know how you can even recommend Sorinex in comparison as far as value. With Sorinex outrageous shipping rates, I don’t even look at their stuff anymore. You can not compare them to REP or Rogue. Their freight charges take them out of the running. REP is really coming through lately. I think it is a mistake not to give their products serious consideration.
Rogue and Sorinex will keep their market share and have very little to worry about.. Titan should be shaking in their boots since most of their stuff is garbage.
Rep is really dropping the mic with some impressive equipment. Exciting stuff. If they can keep up the good work as well as keep customer service at top notch then they will outdo Rogue in the future.
*First impressions - decent quality for home use, size was perfect **bestgym.equipment** easy to assemble. Based on some reviews/comments on Amazon. I purchased 3/8 X 1 1/2 washers to avoid any cracking near the bolts. Other than that I had it unboxed and assembled in 15 minutes*
are you sure you're in the right place? PR-5000 won't use that size washer, comes with them anyway, isn't sold on amazon and is several steps beyond "decent quality for home use"

I own a lot of Rep accessory products such as their FB-5000, soft plyoboxes, sandbags and hex dumbbells. I was close to purchasing a Rep squat rack system but decided on staying with Rogue. Rep is making some amazing and unique equipment but their racks are not quite at the level of Rogue, Sorinex or Elite fts yet and I knew that the little nuances would drive me crazy. I do like the width on the Rep squat rack. In the end it’s a something to push, pull and press from and the Rep rack will do the job. I also like that Rogue is made a state below me and American workers are making them. Great review Coop👍
I picked up a PR-4000 for Black Friday and the width of the rack was a big selling point. When I'm doing 1RM attempts it is nice to have a little more room on the safeties. Hitting the safeties can ruin an attempt and if you are going all out you may not have anything in the tank for another attempt. Plus, you don't have a lot of slop when racking a Kabuki Transformer bar on a rack that is 49".
New to building a home gym and appreciate the review. Heard of Rogue, seen the t shirts or plates, but didn't know Rogue is made about an 1.5 hours from where I live, and given this is made in China, I'll spend more for USA built on a which ever rack I plan to purchase. Reps bench seat, the AB 3100 for 180 bucks is hard to beat from my new research, but joining a reddit group, Rep is piss poor in the communication department. Some 200k members and no one has any idea or scale when product drops which is opposite of Rogue. Probably has to do with dealing local verse China delay. Rep doesnt know their manufacturers output.
REP needs to seriously work on their (in stock) inventory...everything I tried to purchase was always out of stock. Being the impatient person that I am, I ended up purchasing elsewhere.
Their adjustable bench was out of stock for months. I wanted the bench but after waiting but bought the fb5000. Cost them several hundred dollars because they couldn't run their supply chain.
@@bmstylee - Ha, their "top of the line" adjustable bench was what I was waiting for as well. I was going to equip my gym with a combo of Rogue & REP pieces, but after constantly seeing "out of stock" on several REP items I ended up going with Rogue for everything. They had EVERYTHING (5k worth) in stock and delivered within 2 weeks. Like they say, buy once, cry once.
@@ryanmarshall6603 playing around with the Rep rack for an additional $20 you could have a Rogue RM4 Fortis Rack. I love mine. I emailed Rogue to see if I can add parts to make it a 6 post. Which is what I should have done in the first place. Which I can for few hundred dollars more. Sounds like I am making it a bigger rack. I should have just bought an RM6. Will probably be about the same end price.
@@Pler1978 what got me thinking about making a 6 post rack is the new Monster Slinger. The plate loaded one. But the Rhino has been a thought. However I am curious if the Sorinex jammer arm will work on Monster uprights. Check out their J squat. It's a belt squat without a massive footprint like the Rhino and even buying the single jammer arm mount and J squat arm still significantly cheaper.
I'd note that this isn't truly a 3" x 3" rack, it's a 75mm x 75mm (2.95"), so its not perfectly compatible with imperial accessories from other companies. This is a big downside for me.

I got the PR4000 about a month before this came out but I’m still happier with my purchase. The 5/8th inch attachments are cheaper and I love the lat pulldown system which I why I chose this over rogue. Also there’s more actual steel to the rack with 5/8th inch holes. My main complaints with rep fitness are minor including my dip attachment is wobbly and my power bar grinds off the plastic on the j-cups. Other than that I’m happy! Got my stainless rep EX bar and rackable curl bars coming soon!
Stephen Kelly no I think it’s great just as good as any other system I’ve used, it’s smooth I just put a little 3 in 1 oil in the wheels every now and then.
I got a rep set of bumper plates, a bar, and an adjustable FID bench and theyre great quality. I feel i got a steal. I have Rogue and titan stuff like everyone else but i Will keep an eye on their offerings. They make a good product.
I just purchased some parts of the PR 5000 V2. I wish I had all the parts in one but due to covid I have no choice but to buy one thing at a time when it comes back on the market.
Coop. I have subscribed to your channel since the onset of COVID. Thank you for your reviews, they have helped inform several of my choices. I am tragically without a garage or sufficient room indoors to set up a rack/rig, so I have had to make do with a tarp thrown over some equipment outdoors (2 sets of dumbbells, KB, Pylo box, PVC Pipe) As fall approaches, I am thinking hard about going back to the gym vs buying more home gear. Soooo--my big question is how well gear would hold up to being left outside with only minimal protection? I'll bet I'm not the only one facing this decision. If you could incorporate this factor into some of your reviews, I would deeply appreciate it.
Great review. And I’m still torn. I decked out a Rep and an RM6 and there are things i like about each. I’m getting about a $500 difference in the clear/raw Rep vs the Rogue. I wish the difference was a little more and i think I’d def be going Rep.

My parka shell (Gore-Tex, in that silly blue digicam) from the Navy has a hood like that. I have to wear a ball cap to keep it out of my face. The combination works well though, as you don't get rain on your face unless it's really blowing.
I have purchased 90% of my equipment from a rogue and Elitefts, that said if I was in the market for a rack . Rep just made it even harder to decide. Only thing I don’t like about REP is they have a lot of out of stock and back order on their products! Sometimes lasts for months!!!!
Was looking at these but imported was what lost me. Got my R3 waiting in the garage now. With the 5 for 5 deal was able to get the rack, j cups, Ohio bar, landmine, madador, safety arms, band pegs, clamps, and fat skinny pull up bar for 1400 and change. I'll gladly pay for American made.
@@Pler1978 US made was a must while I was shopping around. The rogue stuff is all over built and will last forever. Some is a little ridiculous price wise but you get what you pay for.
All racks should have a standardized hole size depending on the size of the uprights. That's the thing that I hate most about my titan rack is I have to buy their accessories.
I own a titan 45 degree back extension and it’s not very good. Bad design and engineering and just not worth it in my opinion. REP should be the minimum that you order, and consider going up to rogue for certain items if they are worth the upgrade
Hey Coop, you're really good at doing this for all the American brands which is great but what about the Australian brands or UK/European brands? Is it possible for you to perhaps start hiring people and having an international network? I'm here in Australia, and Verve has a brilliant power rack that matches the rogue power rack specs on their uprights but they have a multigrip chin up bar and you can put j cup roller hooks on the rack. They also have their IPF spec stainless power bar being sold for 400 bucks as well as a host of other things they sell. They're relatively new and I'd love to get a solid review on them from you. I love American products but it always burns a hole in our pocket for us overseas guys

Debating between one of this racks or a functional trainning rack with cables like the FORCE USA G3 ALL-IN-ONE TRAINER I was gonna get the rep pr 5000 with ares system but it looks like this functional trainer racks are cheaper and very functional
Rep must have had a good sale going when you priced this rack. If you price the PR 5000 against a RM6 with the same options today, the RM6 is only around $200 more. Might be a decent rack for the money on sale, but no way I’d pay those kind of prices for it compared to Rogue. These guys won’t be around long with pricing like this coupled with too many items out of stock.
I try to do our written review first, but that would definitely be helpful. Some of these reviews have a lot I want to hit and it can definitely be difficult to do everything well.

11:48 - Without a doubt, another great video. ...a little constructive criticism is that when you’re comparing prices, it would be nice to add at least a couple of shipping charge prices as an example. I say these example of shipping charges would be nice, because, often-times, Rogue charges SO much for shipping. Could it be that the rack delivery is free for the Rogue Rack? I know if you buy certain weight plates as a set, sometimes they’ll waive shipping.
Coop, I don't quite understand your comment on safety straps here. Can't you just turn them around so that they installed from different sides? I just checked and it works on my rogue straps, they are both identical, I don't see why it wouldn't work here.
Hi Coop, awesome video as always! I follow you from Germany and I am in the process of purchasing a new rack. How does the uprights of the REP compare to Rogue's uprights in terms of quality? From the gun industry I found some articles about American steel being 3 times harder than Chinese steel but I am not sure if that really matters with steel tubes for power racks. I also found articles about German bridge building projects being canceled due to low quality of the supplied Chinese steel. But I think I am just getting to nerdy about this topic since I do not plan to build bridges with those uprights. Rogue's pricing over here is ridiculous. The RM4 is around 2200 EUR with shipping and taxes. We do have many import brands like REP as well, i.e. ATX, Bulldog, SQMIZE, Atletica, etc. Is the Rogue USA steel promise mostly marketing or is it really that much better? Right now I have an ATX 840 6 post rack with 11 gauge 80mm x 80mm uprights in my shopping cart for 900 EUR!!! I am planning to buy German made accessories from Strong Gains Pro Line as they have the same dimension. But should I be concerned about the uprights being imported from China? I guess the quality from ATX and REP is comparable.
Can the lat pull down attachment be added to the back of the 6 post to allow more room inside the main rack? i don't see why it couldn't but i don't see any examples installed that way?

Hey Coop. Great review! Pretty tough to decide between Rogue or Rep for me at this point. I just dunno if Rogue is going to do anything with their Keyhole design on their monster line anytime soon, so its either the RML4 or PR5000V2 are the options for me. Could you tell me if deadlifts would be possible inside the Rep PR5000V2 rack and Rogue RML4 rack with 450 diameter plates?

When you say it is 3x3, is it a full 3"? I have a used squat rack and I am looking for some more J-cups. The uprights are 2.75"x2.75" with 1" holes. I wonder if these will fit. Maybe I could add liners to insides to make them fit.

Coop, One question. I'm wanting to buy a rogue Monster RM-8 banshe but don't know if my space will limit me on working out. I see the dimensions but I'm worried that in my space I'll be cramped or not be able to use some of the rack. Would you please answer me this question. Would it be possible to use the lat pulldown on a Rogue RM-3? I know Rep is narrower so the mounting crossmember won’t bolt up. I was thinking about buying an extra Rogue crossmember to use with it, just not sure if it would work due to there not being an offset.

With the specification of your rack did you have to bolt it down to the ground? Im planing to do 6 upright with the same depth as what you have here and I just wanna get an idea if bolting it down would be necessary
