My grandma fled the communist revolution in China in the early 50s while pregnant with my mom. As much as I complain about the US, I am very very grateful for being born in the US over China. I'll be the first person to denounce China (if I were white I'd be considered racist for my views on China) and to champion freedom in the US even if it means less safety. The tyranny of government's propensity for an "abundance of caution" is often worse than the tyranny of any risks the freedom may entail.

I like this lady. She is right about the founding fathers and checks and balances. If you want to know what a true patriot looks like I highly recommend reading the book John Adams by David McCullough. It gives great insight in the sacrifices and the events a true patriot had to go through.

I would agree. But I honestly believe stupid people are living longer. Warning labels and caution signs is the only thing that keeps them alive. Obama is to be blamed for the radicals especially in places like Harvard. Our youth has been indoctrinated not educated. The Scary part is this is generational. I don't know how we fix that. Today's student is tomorrow's educator..

We need a lot more LEGAL immigrants from former socialist/communist countries in politics. They have personal experience of what happens in these countries. They care a lot more about the USA than the coddled elitist self-enriching so called politicians we have now.

....sadly you dont understand how it works..... You have local people you vote on, then you have Senate and House members you vote on, who JOB is to go to the FEDERAL government, which happens to be in DC..... They go there to represent the people who voted them in when it comes to Federal laws, regulations, and changes being made at the federal level...... There job is to LITERALLY go to DC to represent us........ Then you have Mayors, Governors, ect, ect, who MOST have to live in their area.... not ALLL districts require this, but most do. These people NEED to be in D.C. 50%-75% to fight for their voters on a federal level.... this is why they go on "vacation" all the time. So they can go BACK to their district/city/state do their work their, then come back to D.C. with the opinions of their voters.
