Ohhhh I love her!! Sirena has kind of a hard face mold but ya seriously painted her beautifully! And all her accessories are perfect, awesome job!happy mermay!
Thank you so much!! I am glad I am not the only one to think so, I don't usually have that much trouble with a face up but every facial feature seemed to give me trouble. BTW LOVE the seahorse! She turned out so beautiful and I love the way you did her eye scar.
I love how she turned out, especially love the gold leaf and shimmer on the fin. I’ve only made one doll, but making the clothes was my least favorite, I like sewing, but the tiny scale and no pattern just made it frustrating. Might have just been the particular outfit though 🤷♀️.
Thank you. Doll scale can be very frustrating for sure and if you have a background in sewing it can be confusing because order of operation is often different that on regular scale clothing. I do recommend Requiem Art on Etsy for patterns, hers are really great especially if you have sewing experience. They are very affordable. If you need visual steps I would say check out Moonlight Jewel's ebooks, they have great pictures but you have to buy the whole book so its a bit pricier.
I had to redo my dolls face twice, glad I did. I love the gold! I repainted the same doll and gold leafed her whole tail. These dolls are so fun to do😃👍 I have learned some new things about craft foam, I love how your hat came out😍
Thank you! You will almost always be grateful starting over in the end. I know personally I would wind up hating the face up. Its defeating having to wipe but you only get better with practice.
Oh great to see another pirate custom doll! Some time ago I also made one =D Yours is soo dang cool! I am really in love with this gold tail and her details. Amazing work. ♥
Thank you so much! Your pirate is absolutely gorgeous too, your clothing always wows me. There are surprisingly few pirate dolls but I do really love pirate that Dollumentary did a few years ago.
Yay I’m glad you liked the brown yarn! I learned so much from this video, as usual. Especially about how to gather stitch, how to make a hat with craft foam, and how to make a crossbody bag. She turned out incredible.
She looks Gorgeous!!!!!! Maria and I managed to get Elsa's Let it go dress to fit still she needs a pair of lovely ice shoes, I can't take any chance on heating the shoes cause they will diffidently melt. I'm running out of idea's I looked at the monster high and ever after high shoes and none of them looked perfect for my Ice ball themed gown, I could really need your help, I did a sketch design on how the shoes would look few changes here and there, the snow flake on the back of heal while the frost spikes rising up in the front. See you on your next video. :D
@@LadyDynamiteCreates Yw & Thank you so much Lady Dynamite Creation's, also my little sugar plum Twilight is loving her new home with me (Love at first Sight) Still I could really need your help with the Ice shoes.
Me too! I have really small ones and ones just slightly larger than those but the super tiny ones always fail. I hammer then they crush and close the holes 🤷
Did you sew through your holding pins on the little bag!? lol Beyond that, I just discovered your channel yesterday and within 3 videos you ranked in my top favorite customizers. I love your creativity and style. So happy you were recommended to me and I'm stoked to binge watch all your videos. You, among so few, just have something special the others cannot and do not, in my opinion, bring to the table.
Yes I did, its a bad sewing habit I have. I know I shouldn't, I just find it easier to do when working with those small seam allowances. Thank you so much for your kind words! I just try doing what I love and hope others can enjoy it too.
Making wefts! Oh my land, I cannot STAND making yarn wefts. I've literally tried every single weft making technique and bomb it every time. I've ended up just over plugging the head and brushing it all out when it's firmly glued and dried in place. 🤦🏼♀️ It works that way, but then I really yearn for the gorgeous color blends that Mr. Super Clear Customs gets with his yarn wefts.
It takes practice, but you will eventually get it. I use the pulled yard technique sometimes and it gives the prettiest color variations and you can still reroot with it too. As far as making the actual wefts, Mozekyto has really great and in-depth tutorials. I highly recommend giving them a watch.
when I saw her on youtube page I literally starred at her for good 15 minutes, amazing job, I don't know if I want to be her or be dragged by her on the bottom of the ocean
Not to discredit the doll, because I love her, but there is so much going on top that there’s not much on the tail. Feels a little too simple. Maybe add scars or jewelry, because she’s a pirate and what’s a pirate without their treasure
I would like to make a suggestion for head removal. A hair dryer on high heat for a few minutes or more can make it easier to remove, and then you don't have to go and boil water
Its a micro applicator, you can find them in the models area of your craft store. Here is an amazon link for you too. www.amazon.com/Applicator-Disposable-Applicators-Mascara-Extension/dp/B07G5QMP55/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=micro+applicator+brush&qid=1653882327&sprefix=micro+app%2Caps%2C138&sr=8-6
I have learned a lot of tips and tricks on making dolls clothing from your channel. Thank you! It has made it far less daunting to make clothes for my daughter's dolls. She likes them enough that she asks if i can make a dress whenever she sees one she likes.
She's very pretty I do have a question do you not use the glossy seal it's just what goes on the eyes and the mouth to make them shiny just was wondering I don't know if I missed that part or not?
