Mark from 'Moz Customs' in Geraldton shows us how to repair a damaged fin from a Windsurf, SUP or Surfboard. MOZ Windsurf Customs Geraldton - / mozcustoms Cheers, Paul #windurfingrepairs #surfboardrepairs
I like very much that the intermediate state is shown. I am usually very disappointed when I see this during my work, because it gives the impression it's never going to look good. So there's hope! Thank you very much! (Brutal to hack into the fin like Mark did, haha!)
Hey, I like your videos, especially because you keep it as simple as possible. That's great for urgently needed repairs. What would you recommend for fixing fins at home? Is Resin with fibres strong enough?
My fin is worn down from users beach starting in water too shallow and grinding the fin in the sand, so it's not dinged, just blunted asymmetrically across the end. Would it work to sand starting with 180 grit and working up to 400 grit, and then coat the end with a thin layer of resin? Any particular resin you would recommend?
