Repair bad/worn sections of air hose or make custom length air hose to fit your particular needs in your shop.
I found that by using Dixon reusable air hose fittings that I could easily make my own custom lengths. Why should you have to mess around with your hose reel if you only need about 10 foot of hose?
In my case I wanted a hose that would go from my compressor to my air real and could also do double duty as the hose I use for my motorcycle lift control.
I really wasn’t looking forward to crimping air hoses in order to make my own sized hoses.
I certainly didn’t want to use hose clamps that would eventually catch on stuff!
When I discovered Dixon Reusable Fittings I figured I would give it a shot! I’m so glad I did worked out great!
Check out Dixon’s RU-vid site or website for more information on how they suggest doing it.
For example, Dixon recommends measuring to make sure your fitting has not moved more than 1/8” from that reference mark I was talking about while the fitting is still in the vice!
