my yr 2000 accord has the exact same problem. I got the IAC part at Autozone but they said if it was bad there would be a check engine lite and code. I went to 2 mechanics and they said it is due to compressed engine mounts, not the iac.
Jeff's Auto i have same problem in my honda accord 2007 but this problem apears when car reach into normal temperature, but you started your car and declared that problem is solved its out of scene sir.
nabeel Hussain its depand which model car you have because most modren cars have electronic idle control valve which you can't clean ,i solved my problem i raised little idle engine speed from accelerater speed sencor,my car is electronic also and all fucking mechanics were failed to solve it.
Have same problem with my Toyota corolla I even changed the engine yesterday and still do the same annoying vibration especially when it's on drive n am in traffic
@@wparra2092 I just changed all the motor mounts on my Altima 2003 4 cilinder, and still vibrating in drive or reverse mode. Hard to find what is it the cuse., have to try with this video technique.
My 2009 Highlander vibrates at idle and in gear at stop light; however, it will stop the vibration if I switch to neutral. The dealer cleaned the throttle and the vibration at idle seem better but at stop light, the vibration is not much better. They said I need to resurface the brake roto. Im not sure this will help or the brake roto will help.
I think its the Spark Plug for the vibration at idle because I have changed it and the vibration seem less than before. The vibration when I brake the car at the red line ; I think its the brake pad or brake roto because the mechanic guy at the dealer said my car's rear brake pad is bad and I need to replace it and the brake roto need to be cleaned also.
I replaced that part and it still does the same my idle goes down and it bogs when I turn it on ? Is there another part that can cause it ?? Any answers thank you..
Try cleaning your mass air flow sensor. It should help. And if that doesn’t help then it might be your alternator going bad. If your lights go dim and the rpm goes a bit higher then 1 when you turn it on then perhaps the alternator.
I definitely have this problem. Shakes bad when i start my car. But after 5 min it warms up the idle calms down. Gonna clean mine tomorrow. Thx for this video.
You should take it all the way off and tilt it to where the electric motor is on top then just spray out the bottom screen.. you will tear it up spraying fluid in it like that. Also those aren’t air lines they are coolant lines on the bottom.
This fixed my 93 Accord. 😍 Make sure you have a pretty FULL can of carb cleaner cuz you have to tile the can. If there's not enough cleaner in it you'll just be spraying air. Thanks, OP. WWG1WGA .
Hi Jeff I have a Honda 03 Civic I replace the motor mounts I put new spark plugs and also put new coils when I turn my car on it shakes when I put the AC it shakes even more
Hi Jeff. I have the same Honda Accord 95. Changed battery and now radio doesn't work. looked all around the car but no serial number nowhere?. what to do, Jeff?
Jaz - biz 'ДВА ПУТЯ' radio is just locked ,whenever you take off the battery and put it back on the stereo will lock, the unlock code should be in the manual, if you lost it you will need athe cars VIN number and the stereo number, gotta take out the stereo just enough to get the serial number on the side, and then using the VIN and the serial number you can u get the code online
hi I have a 2010 Hyundai Genesis coupe 2.0t premium automatic, I seem to have a vibration like when I'm stopped at a red light or even in in the reverse gear at a stop the car seems to stop vibration when I'm in park or neutral or just driving and on top of that when the vibration problem started my mpg seem to get worse. I changed the plugs and coils, vibration seems to be not as bad but its still there, clean the map sensor and it was even dirty....so can you help me find out what the problem is?????
You should take off the eletric connector and the coolant lines. Wouldnt want carb cleaner on the camera definitely dont want it going down those lines 👍
Do you think my 92 Corolla has an idle air control valve? Shakes bad only when in drive/reverse and stopped. Smooth in park/neutral. Worse with headlights, ac, or heat.
Probably. Might be beyond just cleaning at that age, but you could try. Check Rock Auto (online), maybe a new one would not be much money, sometimes parts are quite a bit cheaper for older cars.
Hey Jeff I have the exact problem with my 1995 Toyota Camry le 4cyl I replaced all the motor mounts the suspension parts seem to be fine brake components too I was thinking to sea foam it because I noticed that when I start the car and step on the gas pedal it seems to help and lessen the vibration on idle I was planning to remove the idle air control valve and cleaning it because I know that can get clogged with time specially on old cars I'm going to give it a try because if I can get rid of this idle vibration I will certainly have at least peace of mind I hate not being able to solve an issue with my cars always succeeded but can't figure this one out yet.
+T Lo 1. could be a bad motor mount. 2. There is an idle adjustment screw slightly recessed into the intake manifold. you access it by reaching over the passenger fender and using a standard screwdriver. The screw is covered in rubber, which needs to be removed first. Before you do this, it would be a good idea to clean the inside of the thottle body with throttle body cleaner. After you remove the big rubber hose. just open the the butterfly blade with one hand and spray the cleaner inside with the other. And use a rag to scrub a little right where the blade seals against the throat. 3. You could also try taking the the IAV off and soaking it in carb cleaner, maybe it is not just the screen that was plugged-up, could be gummed-up inside. 4. vacuum leak. Good Luck!
+Jeff's Auto Hi Jeff, I have one motor mount that's bad replaced because it broke, front motor mount BTW. The other three look okay. I did have the IAV soaked for over 2 to 3 minutes before I rinsed it out several times. I will do # 2 and may be looking into working on # 4 as well. For # 4, I am not sure where to start--I guess I have to do more homework on the vacuums. Thanks for your help.
This is a very common problem in a 1995 Honda Accord and it is hard to diagnose. The root cause is likely a vacuum leak. Two of the main culprits in this regard are the idle air control valve and the fast idle thermal valve. Sometimes a bad spark plug wire can also make a pretty rough idle and smooth out with higher rpms.
Hi Jeff , let me start of by saying great video and thank you.. on the other hand I have a question. I have a 2006 dodge durango 3.7 engine at idle it shakes ,I replace coils all 6, spark plugs cleans throttle body, and still shakes at idle.. note: I change my oil and smell like gas.. hope you could share some knowledge ..thank you!
hi i have a 2012 honda civic 1.8 automatic transmission. it was vibration a lot and when i turn the ac on and when it kick out the vibration increase. do you have any suggestion?
ahoorakia i have the same issue with my 2012 civic 1.8L. the steering only vibrate or shake when stopped after the car is warmed up so for example stopped at a red light i would notice some shaking but when turning or when the car is running theres no vibratiom or shaking it runs smooth. before i bought this (1 month ago) dealer checked out eveyrthing they even checked out the engine mount which was good.
On the 2.7 engine, it is very hard to set the cam timing belt properly. It always seems to end up one tooth off. One tooth off and it could make the car vibrate at idle. Has anyone ever changed that belt? If so, maybe that is the problem. Also, those engines have some issues with both the crankshaft sensor and the camshaft sensors going bad.
I have a 1997 honda accord ex 2.2 vtec. I cleaned the IAC and still have idle shake issues. I set 550rpm with iac off and reconnect and relearn ecu. Plus when anytime i reset ecu engine runs perfect and no jolting but then when after a few minutes of driving it starts to jolts. I had replaced shift solenoid, lock solenoid and vss. I clean the iac, egr and passage ways and still having jolting. I check the transmission fluid level: ok and no burning smell. Any help please im going broke with these mechanics. I spent nearly 1200 dollars.
There is an air control screw in the intake manifold that is set at the factory and is not supposed to need adjusting. But, I have found adjusting that can help. It has plastic sealant that needs to be dug out to get to it. It is on the passenger side of the manifold.
Clean your fitv. I believe all hondas b4 98 have one. You also gotta adjust it by screwing it down. Also clean your throttle body system and check that air filter is clean. Make sure coolant system is bled and has no air in system. Finally, remove radio bakup fuse 7.5 amp so car can relearn idle.
