Repair LCD Monitor Samsung 2033sw 

Unfortunately for this video, the part that was replaced was the LCD back-light driver, which was clearly not the issue as you could see the back-light was on before he turned it off and tore it apart. Most likely why there was no follow up showing the monitor working after his attempted repair. The reason behind not detecting the display with these boards is the caps. Simple and cheap repair.

I have a 20" Samsung Syncmaster 2032BW monitor. Today when I turned it on, although it showed an image, it constantly showed the MagicBright items being selected one by one without stopping (affecting the brightness of the image as you might expect), other times it did the same thing but with the items in the main OSD menu itself, and other times it also did the same thing when the monitor was detecting the mode, whether digital or analog, sometimes choosing one and then choosing the other! In other words, it seems to me that it goes into a loop (sometimes for quite a few minutes) within the option that is active, be it the OSD Main Menu, the MagicBright menu or even when detecting the mode (whether analog or digital - in this case the menu is digital - DVI). Another thing that sometimes happens (but doesn't affect the image) is the blue color of the power button, some days it's on, other days it flashes, and some days it doesn't even light up, even though I can turn the monitor on! Can anyone give me any clues as to what could be causing this problem with the monitor? Many Thanks.

Parting the case using a stanley knife isn't how I do things. Use an old credit card under the edges of the case halves making sure you don't lift the display and power supply while separating them or you'll rip the thin wires to the front led and side buttons.

I'm having a problem with my monitor 2433BW, when the video is not connected (vga or dvi) the image and the blue led are always on, but as soon as I connect the video cable the image and the led are turned off every 5 or 10 sec.. also the push buttons at the sides doesn't work fine... My 2233sw is displying just for 2-3 seconds then no display when again swith off & on then also 2-3 seconds ..... i check capacitors all are working..... there is a chip "U202" at back side of board(opposite where all capacitor are there) it's like mosfet with 4 pins but only 3 pins are connected one is not connected but i'm sure wether it should b connected or not and tell me if it connect it to solve my problem.

Hello, when i start my samsung syncmaster monitor, on the upper left side a box switches between analog and digital for 5-6 times and then goes black. Is this a problem with the cable or the monitor itself ? Any idea what is causing this ?? Thank You

Good Day Sir, I need your advice. I have exactly same monitor connected to a Computer with AMD Processor and Gigabyte motherboard. The monitor keeps blinking and switching between Analog and Digital and whenever the screen shows up, it is the same time when Auto Adjustment keeps kicking in on it's own repeatedly. Sometimes it does not occur for contiued periods. But once it starts occuring there is no way to get rid of it.
