A gander or spout is a curved metal tube of round, rectangular, oval or other cross-section shape through which water mixed in the mixer body enters the user.
The main difference between faucets for the kitchen, washbasin and bath is the shape of their gander, which performs various functions.
By size, the gander is divided into short, 14-18 cm long, medium 20-25 cm and long, 30-60 cm long. A mixer with a long gander for the bathroom is used when the faucet is running simultaneously in the washbasin and filling the bowl.
The standard diameters of the gander when fixed to the body of modern mixers with cartridges are 1/2 and 3/4 inches.
The aerator at the end of the spout, which ensures a uniform supply of water flow, is a mandatory element of any mixer. The design of the aerator can be designed to supply water both with a constant flow and with its adjustment in area, jet shape and pressure.
